Today I recieved a letter from West London Mental Health (Charing Cross) in forming me that I have an appointment - Monday 29th July, nearly a full year since my referral.
I knew the waiting list was getting longer but i didn't expect to have to wait that long. At least it seems everthing has gonr through without any hitch, I have heard some stories.

You have nothing to worry about, I saw Dr Davis, on my 2nd appt, he is a very laid back quiet man...his questioning isn't aggressive or anything like that

Thanks Kieron, how long did you have to wait between your first and second appointment?

Thanks Kieron, how long did you have to wait between your first and second appointment?
my first appt was in April, my second was in October so 6months apart, which is roughly right for charing cross time scale between 1st and 2nd appt's because they are both an hour long, you will get your 2nd appt date at your first appt, after that all appts are 30mins long with psychs

Some PCTs seem to be quicker than others so you might get lucky, i got a letter back with in weeks from charing cross and my appt was a few months later...just remember as soon as you get the letter from charing cross saying they can offer you an appt send it back so you have minimal delays :)
Congrats on getting your appointment...WOOOO and it's my birthday that day...the big 22! :D
All the best! :hugs:

Hi Carol,
That is great news. At least you have a fixed date that you can look forward to. My referral has just gone in. Oh dear, to wait that long!
Take Care,
Maryanne.
