Just curious...

How many times have you rented a hotel room specifically for the purpose of CDing?

I've lived alone for many years now so I no longer have to rent rooms to enjoy myself. But I would guess in my past my total would conservatively be around 50 times.

How about you?

many times. but always with other "girls" when we meet out of town. many friends from this forum all scattered from ohio to minnisota. we keep in touch and try to get together when we can. :)

When I was married, I used to get a room for the evening, now and then.

Once..... that I paid for,... because my business trip got canceled and I wasnted to dress... otherwise the company has paid for them all... crossdressing on an expense account is one hell of a fringe benifit!! :)

I agree with Karen. Staying in amazing (Bellagio in Las Vegas) and not so amazing hotels (Motel Hell) on the company is the best for dressing, but I probably have had 3 specific trips where I paid for a place to dress.

In Massachusetts we have the Tiffany Club and I am a key holder which allows me to store my clothes and get in 24/7 to change, take pictures, or head out. I love it!

When I first started, I rented a room to change in and because I had a two hour drive between my house and New Orleans. Then I found out that the support group would let you share their suite overnight for less than a room. But I'd often get a room anyway just because I liked the privacy. I haven't done it much since I came out to my stepson. I'll share a room with someone if I'm going to be out really late and want to just crash...

The only time I ever dressed up in a hotel just to stay there to try on different outfits was my first time fully dressed with makeup and a wigs over 3 years ago when I first started all this. I did it with another CD who helped me with my makeup. It was at that moment with a smile from ear to ear that I realized that I could do this transformation from a not too shabby guy into a fairly attractive woman with little semblance to the former. I have never looked back and nor really wondered wh I started all this. I have tried to enjoy every opportunity as they come along.

AhhHa! Varrweey goood poin, gwasshoppa!

Never considered the company Amex card days when I used to travel. When I was a regional manager and full time road warrior...let's see here...

2080 working hrs in a year=173.3hrs/mo=260 wkdays/yr

If I checked in Sun night and out on Fri morn =260days

260days - 10days in home city = 250days in hotels x 3of5 days dressing at night (60%)=150 days/year

So, I guess when I traveled...I spent 150 nights crossing-dressing a year, over a total of 12-15 different US states. All paid for with the Corporate Amex Card! But the CD was never itemized on my weekly expense reports...:D

So, technically...I might actually have earned a free round trip or two from Mileage Plus (hotel credit)Miles by cross-dressing !!!!

Ok..I admit...that may be a bit of a stretch, but a nice thought...eh? hehehe

I think companies should mention the opportunity to cross-dress as one of the fringe benefits, when trying to sell extensive overnight travel to a prospective manager applying for the job. lol

I've never done it, but the idea of being in another city where no one knows you... it does seem like it'd be a bit easier to get dressed up and walk out without caring who sees you, since they're all strangers anyway!

I have never done it just for cd-ing but when I have to stay at a hotel I take a nightie to sleep in and no other fem clothes. I have had no questions from room makers although I guess they see that the wardrobe has male clothes in it while under the pillow on the bed is a folded nightie.

I also travel extensively with work but due to the ridiculous baggage allowances on hand luggage plus the invasive UK search policy as well I have never had a night en femme ever in a hotel, as I go from place to place and use my own car, this may well open up opportunity to me but not sure.

Never done it, and living on my own, not really problem as far as getting femmed up goes. However I do occaisionly travel around the UK, and next time I'm taking some girly stuff with me. This is something on my "to do" list.

Never have got a room just for dressing, it was cheaper to tell the wife and dress at home! But when we stay in hotels I do take clothes to dress.

I've never done it. I've lived alone pretty much for the last 15 years since my divorce and have plenty of time to dress as I want.

I have never booked a room just to dress as I have always been lucky to find plenty of MY time, although once when working away and knowing we would be finished early on Thursday leaving Friday free my work mate always went straight home from site. I went back to the hotel as the room was booked and paid for I took the opportunity to change before driving myself home, the experience was amazing!

Many times although it's usually associated with a Tri Ess meeting or a night at the Angela's Laptop Lounge.

I guess about ten or twelve times, possibly a little more. I remember the first few times my wife would check out the hallway to make sure it was clear which was silly since we were heading out in public anyway.

While I was still working I was sent on many business trips all over the U.S. I always dressed in my motel room after I got off work. Now that I am retired (and my wife does not know of my dressing) I have gone out of state to visit family on occasion by myself. Although I could drive the distance in one day, I always do it in two days specifically so that I might spend a night at the motel (to and from) to dress. Sadly I can not do this near as often as I would like.

When it's only my wife and I in the house it's no problem. With the advent of this summer we may be using my hotel points for a variety of activities, including giving Tina some time!

If Holiday Inn knew about how many times I've plugged them in my threads and blogs, they would probably hire me as a spokesman . . err . . .spokeswoman
As I travel for a living, I rent a LOT of hotel rooms and I use the Holiday in chain exclusively. I travel femme almost exclusively these days and so do most of my checking in as Kim, and every where I've gone they have treated me wonderfully.
Yeah, I know thats not the point for your thread, but it's related! lol

Several times. I'd rent a place in Richmond when going to the clubs, and not want to drive the 90 miles back home. But I have driven it instead of renting a room, to save on money.

Other times have been when my wife and I would go to a local party, so the neighbors didn't see.

I also travel for business and have done it for many years, but just recently with the "dress-up bag". I don't know why it never dawned on me...

My problem is I drive evrywhere I go, so I have lots of room to take stuff - I end up packing more and more each time!

When away on business I always dress when I get a hotel room. To just get a room to CD, no. I dress quite often at home.

SO is supportive but doesn't want to meet Charlene. I've been renting a room at the Red Roof Inn on the evenings of the local CrossPort Girls Night Out. Mainly to do the transformation and back. I've done it three times. I've been thinking about joining the frequent renter's club so I get a free rental in a few months. Nice thing is that the doors to the rooms exit into the parking lot. I've done all of the reservations over the internet and asked for a ground floor room.

Now that #1 son knows about Charlene, perhaps I can stop renting and transform at home.

I made a couple of trips back to the midwest last year to haul a couple truckloads of antiques back to Denver. Stayed in a Holiday Inn. After chatting with the desk clerk, I found out that Priority Club points never expire !!!
It had been years since my traveling days, but I called the number on the brochure he gave me and sure enough, I was still in the system with a bunch of points (from 95')!

I still have fun trying to guess the hotel chain based on the patterns of the bedspread, carpet & furniture in all of the different pics people post from hotel rooms, lol. I am pretty good at pegging the Holiday Inn, Marriott & Hyatt chains. hehe

Has anyone else ever made a "sundress/nightie" out of a hotel pillowcase? All you need is a pair of scissors (and a thin figure). How about a "sports bra" out of a pair of men's briefs? I have, and Martha Stewart would be proud of me...lol

Will do it for two nights next week! Epic!

That's good to go visiting old friends who don't have enough room for me to rest at their flat! Hotel power!
Yay!

Some years ago, when I used to travel on business, I always dressed en femme for the night. So I didn't specifically book the room to cross dress, but took advantage.

I used to love my job of unpacking, laying my bras and other lingerie out in the drawers, and hanging my dress in the wardrobe. Often used to wonder if the maid checked the drawers when she serviced the room!

And occasionally, I would leave my nightie on the bed, when I left the room for the day. Did they know I was the only girl in the room? Frankly, I stopped caring!

I go to a hotel all the time. Its a wonderfull weekend away for me. I love driving and getting away from it all and as I get close to the hotel the excitament just gets more and more. I turn on the T.V. and get the channel playing the top ten. then dress up, a couple of drinks, some hot dancing and, well, you know where it all leads to.
Life is for living and my CD self really has fun.

Maybe 4 times a year depending on if I am going to conferences or motorcycle trips I take. It is harder to pack for motorcycle trips since I have to bring less stuff, but if I am going to conferences then it is much much easier. It sometimes is the only chance I get to get all dressed up and enjoy being Lauren.

Not so much any more. Before my SA found out I would book a hotel room maybe 3 times a year. I would dress during the day and come home in the evening and go back to the hotel early in the morning, dress again and check out at 11. I used to keep my female stuff in a storage locker. I would pack most of my clothes, wigs, shoes, makeup, & jewelry and head for the hotel for an overnight stay. It must of seem kinda odd seeing someone bring in three suitcases and a duffel bag for an overnight stay. My storage shed looks like a bedroom. It has a closet and a dresser. It was a lot of work packing and then repacking to bring my things back to the storage locker and putting everything back where it belonged. Now most of my stuff is in the basement bedroom.

I too traveled quite a bit on business, and always took a few femme things. At hotels I stayed at frequently, I used the stair wells to get to the parking area to avoid being recognized by the staff, but at larger "anonomous" hotels I kinda liked walking through the lobby and get a few reactions from guys sitting around.

Whenever I visited this one client, I'd always make an early exit the first day, everybody "knew" what was up. Little did they know who the "girl" I was dashing out to meet was:o

I've stayed at Motel 6 a few times, just to dress and go out, even with the family gone, just to avoid being caught by a neighbor.

A seamstress to whom I came out, said there was another local CD she did work for, and that he and a few other CD's jointly rented an apartment just for dressing.

Also, went out for short walks around the hotel for some exercise. It was fun!

I guess i got to introduce my bod to cding was in my early days of business travel.I carried a spare bag holding a lovely trusow that i bought for my wife who didn't like the lace and dispose of it from her wardrobe shortly after the wedding. I may have used it for years, it was sumptous. Folloiwing on from there, I found her giirdles most intriguing. It was there that i gave up until she talked me into Nehru suits with matching mens heels. Oh well it might have been a number of years until she caught me with ladies 3-3/4 ' heels.

Yep, I've spent a considerable amount of money on motel rooms to dress up just for a few hours. It was worth it at the time. So glad that charade is over. Wow, it's just so nice to be happily divorced now, living alone, and dressing whenever and for as long as I like. Answering to other people for my actions is not something I ever want to do again.
