That's right... I'm done transitioning.
After all of the therapy and doctor appointments; telling my family and friends I'm really a woman; changing everything in my life including work to live and work as a woman I'm done with this transition thing.
Up until today there was always something else I had to do to transition.
That was all changed this morning when, with the stroke of a pen, a judge signed the order declaring to the world I am now legally the female named Pamela Christine.
Today today was spent getting my name and gender changed at social security and for my driver license, changing the name at my bank, and completing the forms to get the name and gender on my birth record amended. I had no idea just how many places “his” name existed and I dread the thought of how long it’s going to take to change everything.
But I’m done transitioning. I still have things I would like to do but if none of them happen I’ll be ok. I can now completely live my life as the woman named Pam.
And that’s all I've ever really wanted. :)

I want to thank all of you for your kind words.
More importantly I want to thank all of those here who have helped me along the way.
Reading of others successes showed me it could be done; reading their warnings saved me from myself a few times; and the caring and encouragement I received kept me going many times.
Thank you all so very much.

Congratulations!
I'm with the others who fell for the title... I was so scared, I didn't even want to click the thread link! I'm so glad for you that your transition is complete, and relieved it wasn't a quit part-way through.

Congratulations on making it to the finish line and I know about all the name changing. You listed most of the places but don't forget about your phone and electric. I don't know about where you live but here in North Carolina they would not let me transfer my old tags to my new car because the tags and the old car were in his name so I had to buy new tags and start a new insurance for the new car.

Wonderful, Pam, now the world acknowledges you for who you were already. I know you say you are done transitioning...becoming something or someone other than you thought you were to begin with. I hope you are happy with who you are.
But realize this.
Transition is change.
And change is constant.
It never stops.
You change every day.
Becoming more of who you are.
Some days you wake up and don't like what you see.
The next day you are ok again.
Here's hoping you have a minimal of those bad days.
Be safe. Be smart.
Dawn Marrie
