:) Well it took a while but Thursday I got my prescription for estrogen and had it filled on Friday.:o There was a glitch with the insurance company as to the formilary (Vivilla) and what they will provide and that will be worked out next week but the patch is on and I'm one happy girl.:hugs::love:

That's good news!

I was surprised to see you weren't already on HRT since you are full time - you are truly a woman of courage and conviction. :notworthy:

Thank you all and Faith it may be more insanity than courage. LOL I did know what I wanted but was unsure if it was something else until I had professional help. So when I found that I had been right the procession although seamingly misdirected is how I envisioned my transformation. I have waited longer than I would have liked but there is the comfort of knowing this is what I want.

Hugs to you all Teri

Just a quick question. A friend of mine said take plenty of pictures to catalog the transition. Has anyone else done this?

I took videos of myself for the first several months, mostly just to ease my mind that physical changes were actual and not figments of my imagination and desires. To be honest, however, I never watched the videos beyond the dates of me making them.

Just thought I would show everyone hoe STUPID I am, so here goes
a dumb question.

Approx. how long will it be before you see any changes and will you
be on the hormones forever?

Oh by the way.....a bunch of love and hugs to you and all the luck in
the world.

Hugs

First off Karen if you are going to celebrate St.Paterick's Day it has to be Guiness beer or Irish whiskey. Thanks dear.

Karenmarie, I don't have a clue but from what I have learned the process is different for each person. I was thinking of waiting a month and then take a couple pictures and then again a month later. A couple ladies I have had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know have seen remarkable changes that I witnessed so I can hope for the same.

I don't have "plenty" of pics, but I have been trying to make sure I get one or two every once in a while. Look at it this way, if you do NOT take the pics now you cannot change your mind later and go back and get them. If you do get them, later on down the road you can always throw them away if you like. Or, if they are like some of mine, stash them away some place so deeply that no one else is ever likely to find them. lol, scary.
