Transitioning and Moving

How many of you have started or have finished transitioning and moved because of it? I don't mean that you were neccesarily fired or ran out of town by people with pitch forks and torches, or anything like that, but that you just felt more comfortable starting your new life in a new place without the baggage of having to explain to everyone that you every met when they see you again that you're no longer a guy but are now a girl.

If so I'd like to hear your experience or if you stayed put I'd like to hear how that went as well. I imagine that different parts of the country or other countries are different in their views and I'm just seeing what kind of input I can get.

Im sticking with the same job ive done for years in the same shop and not moving from the house ive lived in for 10 years. I dont really know my neighbours well, but i dont think they care that im transitioning. Ive not had to explain myself to any of my neighbours and thats about 6 houses in close prox. My city of Brisbane in Australia is fairly tolerent. I know that the smaller towns are tougher, and there seem to be alot more closet dressers living in these country towns.

I have to follow suit with Allana. I have lived in the same house for thirty plus yrs and have the best neighbors who support my decission. Besides I just built the dream garage with a wonderful wood shop. The thing is I will be working for a while yet, SRS is covered under insurance, so why move. Yes there is little to do in my town for TS but the distance to the cities, Minneapolis/St.Paul, is not that far. Besides we can be a role modle for the community and possibly others following in our footsteps. Thank you Allana.

I do plan on moving at some point, maybe in 3 or 4 years..by then my youngest girl will be 18, and I should have some experience in my new career, and by doing so, it will allow me to go into deep stealth where nobody knows me..
