What to expect if I don't do anything?

I'm 32 now. I had a change at about 25, when I started to get like a real beard(sort off, still not all over, but thicker hear), that earned me a heavy depression that is just as bad today. When I shave I shave so hard that I bleed all over the face each time I have done so. I hate it so much that I can't even begin to describe it. I've tried plucking, then chemicals and lots of less or lesser intelligent ideas.

What else will happen to me? When is the next bad bad change?

Hard to tell everyone is different. I am 41 and I've had not much change since my 30's,perhaps you may look to the older males on your family to give you an idea of the changes, is what I pay attention myself

If you stay the course, you can look forward to hair falling off the top of your head. It seems to happen to most of us. Somehow that hair ends up in places that you don't want. HRT won't reverse the lost hair.

The other exciting change is that as you near 50 you will find more and more grey hair. That is kind of depressing, but the most disgusting is the ear hair that just starts appearing. You pull them but they keep coming. There is nothing worse than having an inch long mystery hair coming out your ear. If nothing happens then you erections go limp even without drugs. Then they tell you take this drug or that drug to feel young again. While they work, it is extremely frustrating to sit there and take Viagra and have it wear off in 4 hours. It could take up to an hour before it takes effect. You take the pill and then something happens. You kid calls with bad news, runs out of gas or you get in a fight because the game clock is running out. The pill doesn't have a pause button. Sometimes you will take the pill and find it reving up the RPM and nothing happens.

That is older age. Something to look forward too - Right?

Next one comes on your 40th B-Day...then it goes downhill from there fast.....and time goes by even quicker...

I can't believe I'm hitting the big 5o this November....and I'm already in a pre-depressive state over it......

I know about the frustrations of getting old, January I turned the big 60ty, the hair in your nose, ears, no hair on your head, bushy eye brows, body inside an out that won't do what it use to, life that gos on, my job after beating my self up at work for 37yr was closed down, no one wants to hire or train some one that in a year and a half will retire, so jobs are nonexistent, or bring $8.50 to $9.00 dollars an Hr. AHH but Jennifer keeps me sane, and the fact that my GF is my cheerleader and tells me to keep at it, don't give up, keep your wheels spin'n so all you kids out there( any one under 60ty) pluck your ears and nose and tint your hair (if you have it still) and be happy!!!!! Love Jennifer

BDay #50 can be a bitch, but you'll get thru it. Then you will know life is over so you can go back to living it up :)

You girls make me feel down right juvenile. An increasingly difficult task.

THANK YOU!

Time waits for no woman ....

Thing is remember your perspective, we'll always be younger ! To me "older" is 10 years older than I am today - whatever day that is :p

Actually, I have a friend who got her hair back while in transition.

Also, why would you need Viagra for 4 hours? My god!

I may be pushing 60 but the life I live today is precious and joyful and my transition plays a huge part in that never give up what really gets naysayers goat is to live a joyous life. I try not to be the naysayer its pretty common to beat ourselves up. I really try hard to enjoy every day, besides don't take it too serious its not permanent. Today is a gift thats why it is called the present.

I am 42 this month and have not noticed any drastic changes. I am still wrinkle free and do not have any grey hair, apart from the odd single hair which appears from time to time. I still have the same hairline that I had in my late teens. The only change has been more body hair since my late teens.

Even woman as they age suffer the same things men go thru. Just as many woman have thinning hair, the difference is women have an overall thinning, whereas men have the male pattern baldness. Women still get the nose and ear hairs, not as bad though, but they just pluck them whereas men just ignore them. Women tend to take better care of their skin, with lotions and creams etc., whereas men just let the wrinkles happen. Women gain weight as they age just like men. For us older Transwomen we just need to work harder to be beautiful, but the rewards are so great, we become new creations. Don't get to upset about what can't be controlled, just deal with it as it comes. Just be confident in who you are. Kimberly Marie Kelly :battingeyelashes:

HAIR HAIR HAIR.....you will lose it where you want it, and gain it where you don't want it..

if you ever ever are going to consider electrolysis (dont know your future plans), pls don't pluck...you are ruining your follicles and making permanent hair removal much more difficult..

I'm fast approaching 50 and well hair, is getting worse as I get older, but also greyer and thicker. Have recently been shaving hands and wrists, and it just seems to grow back quicker and faster.

throw in bad eyesight, hearing, hips and knees and I'm not sure if there is much hope for me - but I know women who complain about exactly the same problems.
