hi, i have a concern.. i am pretty sure i am ambigendered, well transsexual with both a female and male side. The female side almost completely composes the physical side like sexual desires and such. I am currently a gay guy and i like it just fine, i just don't like my body. the male side doesn't really play much of a role at all, mostly i consider myself androgynous in nature.

Only, i want a more feminine body, which i plan to accomplish with hormones and pills. but i have one big issue: i want wider hips. i had wide hips growing up, very noticeable and much wider than my shoulders. then puberty started or my growth spurt, whichever. i'm still fairly young and think i could benefit by getting wider hips back(proportionately). this is all well n good, except i don't want to have breasts. i was told i might get size A breasts.. which i suppose would be fine, i would strap them down.

Is there a way to go on hormone therapy and get wider hips/hourglass shape back and NOT the breasts? i know this sounds odd. i still want to look somewhat boyish though, but feminine too. my goal is to be able to pass as either boy or girl! :) i even plan to get some facial bone reconstruction to get rid of the somewhat manly eyebrow and jaw bone edges.

is all this remotely possible? doing all the hormones and anti-testosterone and not obtaining breasts, or noticeable ones?

thank you in advance!

Hiya Caramel,

I can't be of much help but from a few of the posts I have seen on here, it looks like taking hormones and growing breasts seems to be a crap shoot and differs from one person to the next. Hope that helps a little.

You get what you get. Hormones work on the whole body not a particular area.

HRT is not a science, it is a not even an art - it's a crap shoot. You load the hormones, you spin the chamber, you pull the trigger, and you get what you get.

That being said however, if you are over about 15 years old, you will not have any change to your bone structure - in your hip or anywhere else. You may get some fat redistribution that will make it look like you have wider hips, but your bones will not grow or change w/o some pretty radical surgery.

On the other hand, chances are good that you will get some breast growth. Maybe a lot.

Also, you could die.

Hormones are not tinker toys for the body, and should not be taken lightly.

thank you for the replies.
i read a little bit more through the forums and it seems i just have to take that step and find out! i was a little scared of the "going sterile" issues i've read! i don't want that to happen.
is it possible to take just enough anti-androgens to block the testosterone but not become sterile? i don't really care about the sex drive, who needs a confusing sex drive anyway? XD
