Lookng for transitioned friends in Toronto

Hello,

As I said in previous posts, I'm into considering transitioning (currently still closeted) and still discovering myself. I was wondering if there are any fully transitioned girls in the Toronto area or if you know of any groups or internet forums where to find someone in this area who might be interested in friendship with someone like me. Meeting for a coffee or eating could be great! If you want to know more about me I can give you my personal email.

Maybe there is a support group in your area. If you attended you would get the chance to get to know some people.

There is something to consider here. You might find it difficult to find an upwardly mobile woman who has gone through transition. Many are enjoying thier lives and have the thoughts of transition behind them. They often are not looking to re-live the process.

Now you might find someone that is in transition that is willing to work with you but that has it's own set of issues.

Personally I think your best bet is to start the process on your own and befriend a few genetic women and perhaps they will be mentors.

Thanks Katesback! You make a good point. I guess someone in the process of transitioning could be good too. It could be nice to talk about transitioning but also I'm just looking for friendship so it doesn't matter if there is no discussion on transitioning topics.

If you ever come up to Montreal, you can look me up. I am also a member of the association for trans people of Quebec (the ATQ) and am somewhat active in the community. I know lots of trans women and men who have fully transitioned socially like me.
