Last night I did my nails, filed them and polished them with a clear gloss finish, this morning I went for breakfast, and forgot I had done my nails, the girl behind the counter asked me were I had my nails done because they looked nice, that was when I realised, and you know she was even more impressed when I said I did it myself, she exclaimed that more men should take a pride in themselves, she never even mentioned my hairless arms.

Then this afternoon I went to a wig shop for a private fitting, it took two hours almost, and we spent half of this chatting about how I feel and my plans for the future, it is the first time I have ever spoke in a proper conversation about myself as Sarah, although I was in my male clothes, she was so open minded and told me she had a lot of customers in my position. I ended up buying a wig which is a nice brown, with sandy blond highlights, it is just off the shoulder, I am hoping to get it Friday, and hope to get a pic of me up by next week for the first time I will be completely dressed as Sarah, oh and she also said I suited my new name, how cool it that..

I’m on top of the world!!

First time you get dressed with a wig and see a girl looking back in the mirror is unforgettable...it was for me...now that I don't need them I still can't part with my first nice wig...

I remember those days of wearing a wig. I myself had really short hair so I had to wear a wig for longer than I wanted. I got rid of the wig and breast forms on the same day and it was liberating. I hope to never have to wear a wig again!

P.S. Here are a couple pics of me posing for the derby team. I have a warped sense of humor and you can see it on the back of my jersey!

so pleased you had a fantastic afternoon:)
but if you think that was good, just wait until you see yourself for the first time

cant really tell you what I thought myself, as I can't remember my first time, but I know when I saw myself again in November last year, I cried
but it was a nice cry:)

I cried like a little girl the first time I saw myself in the mirror. Oh wait I guess that wasn't a bad thing. :D

Sarah only two experiences in my life have compared. Staring into my Bride's eyes at our wedding as she said I do and holding my children for the first time in my arms after they were born.

I guess seeing yourself as you in the mirror for the first time is really a sort of birth. :hugs:
