Details girl, details! How did you dress for the interview? What did you do that led them to believe that you are a woman. Such suspense.

So how does that work? I'm surprised your gender hasn't arisen on a form, or that you haven't had the opportunity to tell HRD that you are transgendered?
I'm curious about how you plan to handle it when it arises, and it will. I'm sure many of us can benefit from how this works out.

Umm, Based on the OP,

Jen, I'm curious;
In your picture description, you say that you couldn't show your face because your spouse has barriers that you respect. Might getting a job as a woman be a teensy bit past one of those barriers?

If it was my decision and I discovered you were not a GG, I would be even more impressed. If you could fool me on that issue, just think what potential you might have in juggling calculations and entries on P&L reports !! :thumbsup::love:

I hate to rain on your parade but I'm having a hard time buying this one.
For one thing, the approach of "look at this really neat thing that just happened to ME" with no details seems like a grab for attention. You certainly accomplished that.
But let's assume what you are saying is 100% true...
Accounting??? Sounds like you have some background and/or education in the business world so I'm thinking you should have an idea about how things work out there. Unless your given name is unisex and can pass the first impression test (ie-"Pat", "Chris", etc), you lied on your resume and application which for many employers can be considered grounds for immediate termination. And how about a background check. Again, a unisex given name might get you by the smell test but what happens when you accept the position and you start filling out the endless paperwork as a new-hire. Lots of forms with little boxes to check which say M/F. It might get a little dicey at that point, especially when you list your wife as a dependant, beneficiary, etc.
If it's true, I hope you thought it through.

Judging by your lack of response to other threads you have started (in fact not one response once you started the thread) I would take this one with the biggest pinch of salt I could handle.

Well I am not going to take the job.I Just wanted to tell someone. The reason I didnt give a big detailed long explanation. It is had to believe.but here goes.As one of you brought up my wife doesnt get involved in Jenas life at all so I am left find time when she is not around and that is about 2 to 3 times a month. On those days Jena goes all out.Jena has her own credit cards and ID and car so to speak.I usually shop and do some walking in the park or down town.It was on a trip down town at my favorite resturant that i do lunch most of the time.I have made friend with most of the waitresses and we chat every time I am there. They dont know I am a trans I think and if they do havent said a word.To me they treat me like one of the girls.I have my favorite sitting spot in the back near where they take there break. It was at one of these lunch times that it all started. The place was packed and all the table were filled Cindy the one waitress ask me if I minded sharing my table with a couple of girls that were regulars so they could get lunch before returning to work.I agreed but was a little worried. They introduced themselves Melisa and Christine both work for a insurance company acrossed the street.Melisa chatted a bit but Christine pulled her laptop out an went to work on something.Melisa said that Christine was trying to figure out some problem with an account error from work and that Christine was freaking out cause her boss wanted a report in the afternoon.I could see that she was really having trouble so I ask what was the problem that I was in accounting and that maybe I could help. She At first said no then after 5 min she ask if i could look at it.I did and found the problem she thanked me and offered to buy my lunch but I refused. We chatted as we ate and they ask when I would be back for lunch again.I told them that in about 2 weeks and so we set a time to meet for lunch on a thursday. We met for lunch again and we became friends.I was thinking about telling them at our next lunch that I was trans but on that meeting they brought there boss Carla so I wasnt going to out myself then.To make matters worse they started asking me alot of questions not personal ones but as the conversation went on i got the impression that I was being interviewed.I started getting a bit nervous and they knew it was then Carla ask If I was looking for a job and if I was that she had a position for me.She told me what i would make and all the benefits and gave me a week to think it over.So that the small version. Thanks for the interest Jena

Jena,
Have just read your short story detail and know I want to hear more, what have you desided or what are you considering. You do look good, so that isn't a problem.

We all live the lives that the choices we've made are the consequences of... I'd be increadibly thrilled at blending so well as a cd. I do think that as you had no real intention of considering the job offer you should have declined there and then. Carol

But it seems that there is no reason to turn down the job if it is a good one. What you have described is the perfect scenario to choose a gender presentation :)

I don't see this story being as far fetched as some of the others I have read ...How about the ones you tell your wives and SO's? What's that old saying?.... People who live in glass houses......I am sittin here LMAO. For a bunch that worries and complains so much about how they are judged.. you can judge others in a heartbeat. .... You're killin me :lol2:
I agree. Considering the stories my boss told me about interviews he did a few months ago for an engineering position.....you showed your knowledgeable on the first meeting and apparently gave a good impression during the "interview". If you actually passed as a lady, I would guess you would have the job even if you said you preferred coming to work as a guy. Good help is valuable. If you didn't pass, they don't care how you present as a person if it looks business appropriate.
