What's the best season for crossdressing, especially a closeted one? In summer there's plenty of daylight, too much, maybe. Though the clothes are nicer. Winter? Lots of darkness but too much snow. (Galoshes aren't glamorous.) But lots of outerwear makes good camouflage for the closeted cd. Any thoughts?

every season has its value

summer -- tank tops

fall lingerie under a sweater

winter cozy in bed with everything

spring lingerie basking in the new sun

Unless you plan on being completely out of the closet, I think summer is the worst. People are going to notice that you have shaved your legs.
Secondly, summer clothing reveals more, which means it reveals all your physical flaws.

Early spring and mid fall are both nice. You can still wear the bright colors and the darkness comes a little sooner. You also get to wear those nice light jackets and sweaters

Year around is good. Just dress up and go to the next town over of something were nobody knows you. And every season is a good season. Expecially if you have a closet full of different outfits for all seasons.

I prefer to go in the fall/winter in the cooler months and go to areas like the botanical gardens when there are not as many people there. Plus I love the fall fashions the best.

I prefer the fall as the temperatures start to come down. It allows me to wear the clothes I love to wear most. Lots of ruffles, skirts, my favorite boots etc..
without having to bake alive lol

I perfer winter since I'm in Texas and the heat is really bad during the summer. Plus, where I'm at, we don't have to worry about snow.

any season besides Summer!
When the summer heat and humidity arrives, I'll have to change my user title to "Perspiring Member".

Before I started shaving down, I preferred the fall and winter so I could get away with tights and sweaters etc...now I love summer too, nothing beats the feeling of a sundress over bare, tanned legs. Check out my albums of winter and summer fashions, I'm a girl for all seasons now!

I am an all seasons girl too. Each one has its pros and cons, but the pros always win with me.

For me it's spring. Temperatures rising, days getting longer, colorful nature... I love it.

Personally I love a good hot summer afternoon, just ask Allie.

...but seriously Summer won't be so bad when my hair finally grows out and I can lose the wig.

Or as I like to call it, the "hairy hat".

I find that summer here can get too hot, saying that though i love summer fashion. I'm not fussy but do prefer winter when there's not as much daylight, i can go for a drive dressed.

Summer time though i shave my legs, armpits and chest almost weekly, i get comments, some negitive.. I also give plenty of comment back too.

I can't see a preference. Each season has its strengths and different styles. I just can't buy clothes for one season and they are all fun!

I know more than one Crossdresser who wont go out the door in summer because of the lighter nights,Other than that I dont know many who prefer one season over the next, summer outfits are always nice, with pretty colours, florals etc (cant remember wat summer is lol)
Overall though I prefer the fashion in winter because I adore soft knit sweaters and cardi's,but I love any season because get to wear a lot of items in my wardrobe all throughout the year

I always find fall and winter as my official "cross dressing season" I still dress during spring and summer the problem is that I usually get very tanned in the face which becomes 3 shades darker than the rest of my body. This causes serious make up problems with blending.

Anytime you are able to dress is a good time. All seasons are great. Just wear something that fits the season. Bright and colorful, no matter what season.

I love spring fashions, prints, color, and light weight fabrics that move so nice with you. But then there is a lot of fun things to wear in the summer months, (if you live in a cool enough climate) Shorts, Capri's, and short summer skirts. Then Fall, fabrics change, as well as color. knits, sweaters, cute little jackets, and boots, all fun stuff.
But then there is winter, what fun, the holidays and a chance to dress up, Raining days, to stay in and play, Coats, hats, and umbrellas to hide behind. How can anyone pick one season over another, I can't, I just match the outfit to the season, after all they are all coming anyway, and I am not going to stop dressing for weather, so I might as well enjoy them all!

Since you’re in New England, where I used to live, I would say autumn is the best season – you don’t need too much outerwear to be comfy, and the refreshingly cool air does just that. I used to frolic among the falling leaves in October and November -- good times. :daydreaming: Spring would be my #2 choice, but here in Kansas that season lasts exactly one week – you have to experience it to believe it…

I agree with the earlier comments from closeted girls that the cooler months are the best. Since our interest is dressing, we're going to be wearing stockings, pantyhose, or other types of hosiery. That stuff can get too warm in the summer months.

As a male I'm happy walking around the house in shorts and bare feet, as I perspire easily. When I'm alone in the house and can CD, I'm going to wear a lot more, but I'll either turn the AC higher or turn down the heat since I've got something warming up those areas. I, too, will shave my legs, but I only feel safe doing that in the colder months when long pants will cover my legs.

I love summer fashion the best by far, but the idea of shaving my legs in the summer worries me so much... such a quandary. My kingdom to not be so closeted that I'd be worried about what other people thought if I shaved...

I just sewed the greatest dress for summer, but coincidentally I promised my wife not to shave for the season. So, this is a rotten development! I have a dress that is totally ME and new but I am so hairy I can't wear it any place.

This is the last time I promise to get hairy for summer.

I guess I will go sew myself some winter clothes to wear when the hair comes off in Oct.

I enjoy warm weather so I can wear my flipflops, short shorts and other spring/summer clothes.
I also enjoy fall/winter when I can wear some of my other girly things.
It also makes it easier to wear certain items (like a bra) without attracting unwanted attention.
