When i first joined this site i didn't have a fem name, so i quickly picked a name i have always been fond off, now the problem i have is that it doesn't feel right for me, on top of that i have a couple of family members who are called Sarah also.

so after much thought i would like to take the Name Elizabeth, it is a name i have fondness for and was well used in the period i was born,

I think the FAQ says to PM the admins then they will decide whether to change your name. I don't know what the timescale is though.

I've seen some people request name changes down in the forum issues suggestion at the bottom of the forums.

PM an admin is the proper process for a name change request...

If nothing else, you can just rejoin the forum with a new name. All you really would lose is your post count. Hell, everybody will think you are new, and you can reinvent yourself as the CD queen of Ethiopia or anything you like! You'll have lots of fans, and maybe even get elected to public office and become the world's most well known and popular CD.

I like elizabeth - the reason I chose Ellen is that my male name is Alan and if I said it by mistake usually no one would notice - Ellen
