I'm spending more and more time as a woman these days, and I've noticed that I'm becoming a nicer person: I smile a lot more, I do little things like pick up litter, etc and life just seems to be at a slower pace, taking time to smell the flowers...you too?

Well, I do notice that I smile more when dressed, but that's because I'm happy. :)
I also notice that I drive like a girl when dressed. Testosterone goes out the window. I stay in the right lane mostly, don't pass people going about 90 MPH (or more) and generally am just calmer.

Well, between Kathi, you and me it is unanimous. I am spending much more time as Nicole and definitely find that I am calmer, happier and much more relaxed. As with Kathi, I drive much slower and much more carefully then ever before. I am always looking people in the eyes and tend to smile a lot more than ever before.

In fem mode, I'm happier, smilier, more easy going, and generally I just feel better. I'm spending every possible moment as a woman, and that's how I feel best.

Most women I know drive like maniacs. I drive like an old man; always have, and always will.

I think that when I dress, I AM calmer. Is that because I'm more relaxed being the person I was meant to be? Who knows? I like me better when dressed as a female!

More of a sugary spiced puppy dog tail..
My wife accuses me of driving like an old fart... She drives like a manaic. But I don't have time to slow down and smell squat. I'm running out of time!! Sigh...

This is what I was wondering. Is it that you're behaving differently cause you're trying to behave how you think a woman would behave, or that you are just more relaxed because you're letting your guard down and being yourself, or at least not putting up a constant facade?
A few of my friends have commented to me that I seem a lot happier since coming out as a crossdresser, and yet I still dress as a man.

If only. I find since hitting the menopause that I'm becoming bad tempered and grumpy. More likely to throw someone's dropped litter back through their car window than pick it up and bin it, snarling and flashing lights at middle-lane hoggers. And cleaning the lavatory after a household of manchildren with maladjusted aim means I'm more likely to be sniffing bleach than flowers!
Love the fantasy though!

I will admit too that now that I have embraced my dressing rather than fighting it, I am much calmer, think clearer, and simply happier, but nothing makes me feel better than when I finally have a chance to slip into something more comfortable when I finally get home for the day.

What a great question or observation.
I too feel like I am more at piece and calm now that I dress on a regular basis. I do think that being at piece internally leads to better mental health. I know growing up and living in a lie, always hiding who I was from others, was taxing to say the least.
I also enjoy presenting myself to others as the girl I am inside. I know as a 6' tall woman with a masculine voice I don't fool all I meet, but I am happy, and isn't that what we are all suppose to strive for in life!

Being one of those, that admits to dressing out of some compulsion, I have to agree, I am calmer, happier, more loving, and a much more agreeable person when I dress, so I have taken to dressing as much as possible, and the rest of my world reaps the benefits.
