I'm happy it went well for you. What surprises me is that you told your dad even before you told your mom. Maybe it is just that the opportunity has not been there. But most men, Cd's included or even more so, can communicate much easier with their mother then with their father. That's not from personal experience since I lost both parents by the age of 16. I often wondered how my mom would have taken it. What I know of her, she would have wrapped her arms around me and made a joke about it and loved me just the same. We were close.
I don't think I would have ever told my Dad. But my memory of him is that of a 10 year old.

That is great Jenifer! Feels like a load off?

Now as good as it feels, don't let it be the proverbial snowball starting at the top of the hill (unless you want it to be). Just keep the good decision making in control and things will continue to be good.

Good for you, glad to here it's going so well. I've often wondered how it would have felt to tell my mother, i know she would have been totally OK with it. mj (Cassie)

I'm really happy and excited for you. What a wonderful family you seem to have.

I'm not sure I could come out to all my family.

What a courageous step. It's a big step for a woman, and a giant step for womankind!
