Apologies for being an asshole. Just been feeling super lonely around here and feels more and more like a popularity contest around here instead of a place to attempt to help everyone. And I know you see me! There's a meter that counts. It used to be a home and now I'm just a dead dog that no one wants to touch. And now, in the past month I've gotten unengaged, turned 21, and caught my dad on seniormatch.com when I went to show him a cat riding a vaccum on my laptop, and been left by my girl for a few days.

Anyway, moving on. How often do you take shots? I've been doing them weekly since September, ran out in January and because my doctor moved to the Center I couldn't get a hold of her for three months to approve my prescription. And i still haven't seen her because the Centre is crap to find and crap to get into.
I'm doing * cc's a week. I dont see anything except for baby- no- womanly facial hair and a change in my pants. Oh and a crackly voice. Most embarrassing moment with the hot chicks at Hot Dog on a Stick..
I know more of you and other ftm's do shots freakin' DAILY. So how much do you take?

Aw, Ron. :hugs: I might not always have anything worth writing, but I do see you.

I hope your life gets better soon.

Oh, and to answer your question, sorry I know nothing about shots. :strugglin

Hi Ron, I haven't been around much lately but I *have* been reading everything you post...sorry to hear about all the dramas you have been having, that sucks :(

As for daily shots, I don't know of ANY FtMs who do them that frequently....most of the guys I know do either fortnightly shots or every 10-12 weeks if they are on the longer-acting form of T. Personally I do mine (*) every 10 days - any more frequently and my T levels go through the roof and take my estrogen levels with them, any less and my levels drop through the floor and I feel like crap.

Depending on your dose (I know you said * but I have no idea how many mg of T is in that amount?), the changes you want to see can take a while. My voice took a long time to drop (and at almost 2yrs on T is still changing), and my facial hair was still baby hair until I had been on my current dose of T for about 9 months or so - even now after almost 15 months on the current dose, my facial hair is still very fluffy on my jawline, the only part that is really "proper" beard hair is under and on my chin. You said you started in September and stopped again in January because you couldn't get hold of your doctor - that's really only 3 months mate, the changes you want take a bit longer than that, and if you took a break for a while, you need to take that into account when you calculate your total time on T - if you have only been on T for a total of 5 months or so, you won't see much change after the break you took until your body gears back up again and gets used to it. I know you are impatient to see the changes NOW (we all go through that lol), but it will take a little while for your body to readjust and things to really start happening again.

You should also keep an eye on your bloodwork to monitor the levels, if you want to see decent changes you need to keep your level somewhere about the mid-range of normal levels for a bio guy and try to avoid too much of a drop at the end of the shot cycle.

Keep us posted mate, I know I don't write much but I do read everything you have put up ;) Will try to reply more in future though :)

Hey Ron....I am on testosterone *. (which is *) per ten days.....That is about average, I think....and Dan is right, it takes a while for changes to happen, especially if you took a break from the meds for a while because you couldn't get the prescription renewal....As to the board, it's like anywhere else, there are really friendly, helpful people and then there are some who are less so, but that's the world, right? There are some who will definitely try to help whenever they can, so do keep coming here for support....Sorry to hear about your girlfriend and dad, both of those things suck....Keep your chin up, dude, I wish the best for you....:drink:

Hi Ron,

I'm another that might not post to everything i see, but i most definitely do read everything, and will post when i feel the need, like now....i'm so sorry you are going through a tough time right now...but we are definitely here for you to offload on...as for the shots most people i know do them between every 10-14 days depending on what type of shot you are on...anymore than that and you are going to send your levels through the roof and the T will just start converting to estrogen, and you definitely don't want that....because you had a break you will need to be on it a while again for it to kick start the changes again

I bailed on responding to a bunch of threads last night cause I didn't feel like typing, and now I REALLY don't feel like typing cause I've spent the night practicing Python and yeeeh, aha. But just to show there's no hating going on I am responding to this thread.

Also, are you sure you're not thinking of androgel rather than shots with the every day biz? Cause androgel every day is normal, but shots every
day is crazy... both for dosage reasons and the amount of scar tissue that would build up really quickly.

yeah, I am on testogel which I put on every day. It's not injectable thank god! Just rub it on all over, smells like you have had a bottle of whisky before it dries....it has an alcohol base. :)

I have read a lot of your posts halfman_halfamazing as what you write is interesting. I just get a bit lost as I am new on here and there is a lot to read! :)

No dosages are allowed to be discussed in the public area. I'm going to have to edit out any talk of such. Future posts, please refrain from doing so.

Ron, sorry to hear you've been having such a rough time. :hugs: But try to keep to the positives of your life, eh? Remember you're engaged to someone you really care for! Of course that's not to undermine the negatives of your life, but sometimes it helps to keep going if you focus on the good stuff. :)

But I have to ask: What do you mean by "popularity contest"? I personally have never seen it; in fact, this site has always and continues to be a big support in my life. I'm just curious as to what you might be referring to.

Hey Ron, I hope you are doing better. I read posts but don't come in often as I find that I sometimes really cannot relate with some stuff. :( I'd rather not post if I do not have the same issue then post and cause someone else to have serious issues. Plus I do not have alot of time these days either.

Personally, I haven't been posting very much at all just because I'm dealing with stuff and don't feel like talking. Sorry to hear life is shitty right now, hope things get better for you. I have nothing to say about the T stuff because I'm not on T, but I am familiar with medical field stupidity/annoyance and sympathize.

oooh crap loada stuff.
thank you to all of you for writing! trying to get through all this is pretty hard but you've all said some really nice things. One down right?

daniel, i know :o i need to get my bloodwork done. i tried to ask mhy doctor when i got my toenail fixed but he moved so fast it was hard to bring up.

and i guess i just assumed they were taking it daily actually.. just the way people say '2,000th day on T!' just seemed like a daily thing instead of weekly and i've never heard of just once a week. 2 but not once. And the span of their taking it has much more impact than I've been having.

Ze.. i'm unengaged now actually.. =/ but i do still have her. she's been a great help but its kinda hard on her, i mean what do you say when something like that happens to somebody especially since we're a little funky right now.
AND i'm glad you asked me to point out my point. i've just seen a lot of people getting A LOT more attention than others. Endless comments, conversations, in-jokes, friendships, endless feedback. even the women are playing favorites. It reminds me of my junior year of high school. to make a long story short, the worst was when one of my friends came up to me after school and asked.. 'why didnt you sit with us today!' '...i did..' 'oh! ok well bye!'
we're all a lunch table here. youre not supposed to plan a concert to see regina spektor and not tell one person.
