After the surgery do you have orgasms when having sex with a man?

If the surgeon knows what he's doing and if you are prone to orgasms prior to surgery your chances of experiencing orgasm are pretty good. During GRS they take the orgasmic part of the penis and create a clitoris with it. I have read that the longer you remain sexually orgasmic prior to surgery, the better the chance of being so post-op. Do some homework and research this. You can start with the link I have provided to TS Roadmap.

My TS friend describes her orgasms as whole body now, much the same way I've heard GGs describe it. If you're going the GRS route don't skimp on this. This is your body and will be until you die. A good GRS surgeon might cost you about what a new car does, and how long does a new car last?
I've been asked how I am so knowledgable about this. Well, the answer is I follow the advice I've given you.

Cathy, Julie is exactly right. It depends on the operation. There are two very successful ones I'm aware of. The forst is Dr. Suuong (spelling may be off, sorry) who is located in Thailand. He uses a very progressive procedure that is described in great detail on the srs_thailand website. I've chatted with a couple of gals who plan to have him do their SRS. As I said, check out the site.
The second is the famed Marci Bowers (herself a post-op TS) who does extremely good work in Trinidad, Colorado. She claims an extremely high percentage of her patents are orgasmatic.

My TG therapist is very cool on Bowers as most reports she has on Bowers have been less than satisfactory. She many times recommended Dr. Eugene Schrang in Neenah, WI but I understand he's retiring soon. My TS friend told me the surgeon she picked out and said one of the things she liked was this surgeon needed only one operation to complete the procedure. I just don't remember the surgeon's name. I know Schrang preferred the two step procedure.

I'd suggest finding a forum that focuses on TSs for advice. One I can think of is BeginningLife.com.

I'll let you know. Give me a couple of years though, firstly to have the op, then to find a guy so I can find out first-hand.

I'm told that it varies from patient to patient, but there is a good chance of orgasm if the op is performed correctly.

Julie: Did you see the interview with Dr. Bowers on the Discovery Channel's special about SRS? She came across as very credible.

There are many surgeons out there and little to back them up in terms of research, etc. However, to say that to have surgury would be at the price of a new car is a bit misleading. I paid $4500 for mine in Phuket, Thailand with Dr. Kunaporn. Now, he charges $7500. Now you may think that this is cheap compared with the $15K up that you have to pay in the US and Canada. If you include lodging and airfare, just add $2K for two for a one month stay. I fugured that the cost of transport in the US plus the stay in a hotel for the duration is about the same price.

Now, you may ask "Are you orgasmic?" Well, yes I am AND it is the whole body type that GG's report. Very satisfying. While I have remained with my wife, we have done well with various toys as well as regular lovemaking. I am sure that, were I to have sex with a man (and I know that I am not interested in this although curious for a bit after surgery), I would certainly function rather well.

Also, some think that a single-operation technique is more favorable than the two-operation technique of Dr. Kunaporn. I do know from Dr. Kunaporn himself that the rate of success is quite high as well as the depth and width of the neovagina is better maintained in terms of longevity and better formation than in the single-surgery technigue.

The best to you all.
