We've told all of ours now (twins of 19, son 20 & son 21) and I'm sure the fact that this ad is currently doing the rounds on UK television has helped enormously:

They've all accepted in a very matter of fact way.

Thats wonderful, my daughter (15) knows and accepts Staci with open arms. Fact is she likes my fem 3/4 better than my masculine 1/4. That ad is great and maybe an ice breaker for some as well.

I hope someday that I will be to that point. That's not where I am today.

Now if they would just change the car to a SUV and run it in the United States ...................

I wish I could tell mine. My two daughters are so selfish normally they would reject me for what it may screw them out of instead how it makes feel complete as a person. If I make the complete transition then I know someday they will have to be told.

Well done Sarah, glad all went well for you both, I'm resisting the temptation to tell until I have to.

Well my son, 32, knows, and I am sure that he has told my daughter (30), but neither speak about it, and I believe that neither want to see me dressed.........yet.

Glad they accepted it. That has to be one of the hardest things to do, telling your
children or SO.

My daughter is 25 now and has known all her life. She even wants to go to SCC sometime with me! I think the fact that she was told early helped with her acceptance. And it may have helped that she grew up around theater folks, historical recreationists, SciFi and comics fans, and costumers. She grew up thinking that people who didn't dress up in some fashion or another were the weird ones! (She's right!)
