Just curious , I have been on HRT for a while now and in addition to the discovery that my skin is cosiderably more dry now I have been having alot of cramps in my legs and was wondering if any of you have had an similiar experience?

Are you perhaps taking Spironolactone ?

If so, try a quick forum search and you'll find loads of info about it here.

Pay extreme care to your symptoms. Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT's) in the legs is a serious issue in MTF HRT. Throw a clot and it could be...:gn:
You might want to discuss with your Doc sooner than later.

u need to get checked out...dvt is a possible side effect and in some cases can be very dangerous...it is no joke that a clot is potentially life threatening..

it could also be the spiro...so pls get checked out

This sounds like something that needs medical attention. Don't think I'd rush to the emergency room. But, I also wouln't put it on my 'I'll get around to it" list either. DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) can be deadly and they are possible side-effects of estrogen and can be causing the cramping.
Get it check soon!!!
My opinion.

Victoria, last night the cramping of my feet and toes kept me up for a couple hours but I figured it was do to being in heels for a week at the Be-All convention. I will have t see if they continue. Thanks for the inquiry.

In the meantime, low-dose aspirin (ASA, not any random pain killer) wouldn't hurt. Also, increasing your potassium (e.g., bananas) would not hurt.

My spouse is on sprio and estrogen and she has had severe leg cramps. It has been 6 months now and they are no longer frequent, but about the 3rd month or so she was having them every day. The doctor told her it was common, along with the sore nipples.

Irrespective of whether you take spiro or not, drink at least 2 litres of water (preferably filtered) per day
