Ever wonder how it would feel if you could change into an actual female instantly through some kind of Star Trek type device or by taking a pill and instantly you are a female for a certain period of time and then you change back to being male ? I guess sex shifter would be the term .

There is always a catch. So depending upon the catch, I guess I would consider doing it. But maybe only if I could control how long I stayed a female and if I could repeat often.

I read a story about "taking a pill" and becoming a woman. Taking another pill and turning back. I think most all of us here would try it. I don't really want to be a woman, but instead of CD would love to be the real thing (if I could) for a limited time. The person in the story got addicted to sex and became a prostitute and never turned back. Not the ending we would hope for!

I would want to feel and experience being a female in reality in every way and if it is all I dream of I would want to remain a female and if not change back inti my origunal male form,
I guess in a way not being a sex shifter a cd,er is the next best thing.

Being an anime nerd, one of my favorite stories is called Ghost in the Shell. Many of the characters have "prosthetic" bodies and they are able to transfer their minds between them. What could be more fun?

It seems like it would be fun. It would be great to be able to come and go as one pleases and see the true vision of the other side for a while. Oh I just thought of something. I could go shopping and not have to worry about being read and try on everything before I buy it.

I would want too much control over this kind of "wish" such as timing, frequency, access to resources (clothes, job, money, etc.) and to control exactly how I would look when I was female and on and on it goes.

A fun idea for sure but too many conditions to such a venture so probably I would not indulge.

I'm leaning towards transitioning, but the thought that I might regret it is definitely a showstopper.
Also, of course, there's so many practical problems.
As they say, the devil is in the details.

So some consequence-free back-and-forth would be pretty awesome.

Absolutely. No doubt or hesitation. And turning back would be a good option just in case I got there and thought, "Oh, this sucks too". Although if I really liked, I'd want to stay.

Oh and since we're talking fantasy here, could that pill also knock about 16 years off? I'd love to be 18 again.:D
