I have a good, potential job offer in Knoxville, TN, and I was wondering if anyone there had any experiences with local gender therapists? In Nashville, perhaps? I know nothing about the area, but I have a friend there helping me out finding a job, and there are a heck of a lot more jobs there than where I am now.
..The job probably isn't one I could transition in, but at least it would pay well enough for me to start down that road. :)

Sorry, can't help with a therapist (not from your area), however pls stick with the forum as it will make your journey so much more enjoyable until you get your feet on the ground in Tn. We love to hear from all the girls as they make their walk through life. Maybe one or several of your experiences will help another girl in her journey.
Hugs,
Alice

Well I haven't left the forum yet and I've been around for a little while.
This forum just depresses me more often than not, (the sad stories are sad, and the happy stories just make me jealous >_> ) but I still check in on it everyday to see what's new.
Edit: Anyways, so, no one?
I'll check the directory I used for GA, but I know for my area at least it was very outdated.. I know at least one of the therapists is deceased, and another no longer treating people..

Try the site below for experienced therapists:

Also, and what I did, is check out the Yellow Pages (or Google) and see if you can find a therapist who lists "gender issues" (or something similar) among their specialties.

Good luck!!

Laura's playground had it, there's even a sliding scale therapist right in Knoxville. I need to borrow a few more hands to cross the fingers on :daydreaming:
Here's hoping.
