We've seen a lot about what girls wear by way of clothes and makeup, etc.

But what about reading material?

I'd read a girly mag ahead of a car mag any day of the week. I find cars as boring as drab, but tips on dressing and makeup are fantastic along with seeing what clothes are available.

I like to read everything - from National Geographic to Glamour (even some car mags too :)) I don't like to limit myself to one particular niche for anything.

I like to read stuff like Better Homes and Gardens, Parenting, and looking at the Avon and clothing books that are brought to work. 95% of the people I work with are women, and that stuff is brought in all the time. Wonder if anyone would s**t a brick if I placed an order!

Cosmopoliton, Vogue, Glamour, In Style, Grazia, New Woman and Marie Claire.... hmmm... I think there is a bit of a general theme on display :)

As for books, well in the main it's all 'chick lit'. Well I happen to like the odd soppy romance... Oh, and books on shoes. I have a thing about shoes... absolutely adore them so books on shoes and fashion in general, particularly evening gowns and the like, are on my coffee table :)

Sorry, I read Cycleworld mostly. I can't read ther girl things long. I tend to get upset and overly jealsous of the pretty girls in the mags. I so wish I had more to work with. But I'm in love with Hilary Duff, So I kinda skim to find her photos, she is so pretty, It's not fair :(

I only read thing like Hot Rod and Car and Driver when I am not perusing and adding to my extensive collection of porno magazines. I find I don't get much out of Cosmo and similar mags.

I cant say that I have apreference for either mag. I read both, well not Wheels, but Street Machine and modified car mags, and I read the girly mags, Cosmo, Vogue, etc. But then I also restore my cars wearing heels and skirts. My love of cars is genetic (all three boys in the family are petrol heads and so is my father). So one mag for ideas for my girls (my cars) and one mag for me.

Good one this...

Even in drab mode, lets say if I'm in a bar and one of the female staff has a magazine, be it one of the gossip rags or the weekly girls fashion magazines or similar.. I'll read through it and not care one bit who sees me doing this.
I actually enjoy reading the items and in particular, the true life stories in them. One of these stories nearly had me in tears recently, that was in a bar full of guys too. Nobody said anything though. Do any of you girls find these true stories really moving too?
