coughing and sneezing?

I'm guessing this question has probably been asked before. I have been working hard on my voice and not doing to bad as lone as I'm soft spoken, But as it happen's to all I'm sure here comes that uncontrolable cough or a sneez, is it posable to make them sound more feminine? My cough is not near as bad, but when I sneez windows rattle!!!:o

Any pointer's any one??

I can control my sneezes sometimes, but I do have one like my dad, very loud!! One of the gurls here suggested something and it works great for me.

When you feel the sneeze start to come on, assuming you get that much warning, exhale. That's it.....

If you push all the air out of your lungs, there is nothing left for the sneeze to drive. It can hurt a little, sort of like a drive heave, but it does the job.

FUNNY you should mention this. Lately I've had a couple of people point out that my sneezes and coughs are rather masculine. One of them was my voice therapist ! EEeeekk!!

I am finding voice to be a hard thing to change and any extremes of that are even harder. If ya come up with sumptn, please do tell ;-)

I can relate to that as when I sneeze not only do windows rattle but when I sneeze more than once I'm usually good for at least 20-25 and there is no way that can be feminized - Ellen

I guess I am half lucky that I have always had a sneeze like a 4 year old girl. I cough like an old lady after 60 years of chain smoking however.
