For me it has to be Hayden Panetierre -

I just think she always looks amazing, has flawless makeup and a gorgeous wardrobe.

What about you girls?

She is very sweet and cute and has always looked good.

Living in the south and being a fan of music. I'd have to say Carrie Underwood.

Someone got there before me. Catherine Zeta-Jones for me. Her roles in 'Entrapment' and 'Chicago' demonstrate that she hasn't just got a pretty fsce...her gymnastic ability is unsurpassed, too.

For it me I would go back to the late 60's/ early 70's. Dyan Cannon. She had the looks as much as anyone today. But it was her personality that I loved. Then Farrah came along.

I would have to go back to the 60's/70's for a GG idol. Does anyone remember Katherine Ross...she was in The Graduate, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and The Stepford Wives. Her image is burned on my mind.

07-24-2010, 05:40 AM
For me it would be Bea Aurther,....................just kidding.....for it would be anyone one of the professional, sucessful wellput together women I see in airports as i travel across the country, so often I wish I were in her shoes for a night!!!!

I honestly can't say. There are so many beautiful feminine women that I admire, I could make a list as a glamor idol. But like others, I'd have to go back to the 60's and 70's to pick. I'm not big on movies or even TV shows, so I don't even remember the names of most of the stars. In fact, some of the actors and actresses I see and consider my favorites, I can't even tell you their names! Just not into it that much.

For me it is either Jennifer Aniston or Rita Hayworth. Jen always is dressed so nicely even when she is dressed down. Rita was drop dead glamourous. I have an old movie called Down to Earth and she is so stunning.

Reese Witherspoon as mentioned above is a winner but the one who makes me look every time I catch her gracing the television is Jennifer Love Hewitt if for no other reason than her beautiful eyes which are nearly always done up to glamourous perfection.

I have never really had any "idols" other than Superman when I was a kid. When George Reeves committed suicide, it kind of sucked all of the oxygen out of that concept for me...lol

I don't really have "glamour idols" I guess. But I always thought Shana Hiatt (Poker After Dark) and Traylor Howard (Monk) were hotties. Not just what they wore, more attractive from a personal "sexiness" I can't describe.

Two at the top of a very long list are already here, Zeta-Jones and Bea Arthur, for very different reasons of course. How about Karen Allen with her freckles and strong right cross in the "Indiana Jones" movies?

Leslie Langford
07-24-2010, 11:09 AM
...hands down, it has to be Raquel Welch.

I saw her on the Oprah Show the other day, and even though she just turned 70, she is still as sexy and as glamorous as ever. Granted, she may have had some "work" done on her over the years, but to me, she is still represents the epitome of femininity - beauty, brains, a sense of self-worth, realistic, grounded, and very much her own person. Raquel is a beautiful woman both inside and out, and sophistication and class ooze from her every pore, much as they do with Sophia Loren, Catherine Deneuve, Tina Turner, and the like. Not many 70-year-olds still have such amazing figures, the incredible fashion sense, or are able to still wear killer stilettos as effortlessly as she can

She also has great business acumen (Raquel Welch line of wigs) which she was able to capitalize on as a result of her former celebrity status, and has chosen to re-invent herself and move beyond the "pretty face/killer body" persona that so many performers and actresses are unable to do and as a result, almost become caricatures of their former selves (e.g. Brigitte Bardot).

And bonus - Raquel once played a transsexual in that 70's movie Myra Breckenridge before being TG became almost fashionable, so she is no stranger to our community.

Kinda of an interesting question here and i think I've answered it before. The answer varies based upon the time in my life. As a teenager, I'd have to say Jodie Foster as a teenager (seen her in another thered http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=101801&d=1258216454).

Nowadays it goes from one end of the spectrum to the other -- basically someone like Hillary Swank especially as her portrayal of Brandon Teena in Boys Don't Cry -- the reason is so that I could do that really cute tomboy look.

At the other end is the really cute 60s look typified by women like singer Billie Davis. So it would be almost any of the British girl singers from the late 1960s. So cute and girlish.

I guess you can always tell who the "old timers" are here. A lot of these names I don't even recognize.

For me, my 3rd favorite would have to be Katharine Ross (who first appeared in "The Graduate" with Dustin Hoffman). Then, maybe Raquel Welch coming in second. But undeniably, my first would be Barbara Hale, better know as Perry Mason's secretary!

Jane Mansfield. And a few others that were the sexiest pin-up or actresses of the late forties and early fifties. Back when it was sexy to have larger thighs, hips and be anything but skinny. I don't find skinny as attractive as the GG's that have a few extra well placed pounds. Definition between their waist and well rounded hips and butt. Larger thighs and calves. I like a woman to look like a woman, not one that can be mistaken for a skinny little boy. lol

I seriously doubt that anybody it going to have heard of my idol, unless maybe they are from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. She was the number 2 model in Rio before she retired from modeling last year. She was a great friend and a hugh source of strength and courage for me through the first year of my transition. and my inspieation to go back to school to follow my dreams of becoming a famous Fashion Photographer. My late and dearest friend Giona Flores-Bohannon. Who was Tradically taken from all of us who loved her and had the honor of calling her one of our dearest friends. when she was killed in an accident involving a semi. May you R.I.P. my Friend.

No one is ever happy with what they have. My hair is stick straight, thus I want it to be curly. My best friend has crazy beautiful curls, but she confronted my in the elevator with my sopping wet head one day stating, "I just wish I could just hope out of the shower, run a comb through my hair and it look presentable!" We have different definitions of "presentable," apparently.

I've always been tall...I wish I was short. It goes on and on. My lover was born a man, but he dresses like a woman. I bought the pink dress, he steals the pink dress. :Angry3:
