View Full Version : Question on level of t-ism

Hello Ladies-

I posed this question on another forum, and thought it would be good here also.

I've been thinking how one might define their level of t-ism. As I'm sitting here with my flower dress on, and feeling very pretty, it occured to me that I would like to be no other place doing anything else, but this. I just feel so at peace. So I guess the question would be, 'What would you give up rather than quit dressing?" Would you pass up a party with your regular friends? Would you pass up a golf game with your buddies? Fishing trip? Bowling? What is the one thing you could not give up, given the choice between dressing and that? (Not including giving up your family).

For me, I would give up :

Golf- and I like to golf
Beer and Wine- and I love both
yard work- I love to do gardening
Playing sports (this has always been my 'other' passion)
Sex- yep, even sex (and I love my wife dearly) What I mean here is- given a choice between the two- I would definitely dress.

I don't know what this means as far as my t-ism goes, but it sure seems to say something. Anyone else?

Nicole

An interesting question. HMMMMM, I guess pretty much anything that wasn't life sustaining. OK maybe give it up for the day to watch Tristen jump off the roof

A bit morbid, but I'm so much happier and I love the new girlie me so much that I'd have to give up life before giving up being female.

Nicole, this is a kind of tough one for me to answer. In my situation (retired and with an accepting wife at home) I can dress up pretty much when I feel like it. :) Therefore I have the freedom to pick and choose when I dress that a lot of CD's don't. I actually pass up many opportunities to dress and go out with my friends when it conflicts with things other than household routine. I do try hard to avoid conflicts with my monthly Tri-Ess chapter meeting and have only missed one of those meetings in the past year. So, what would I give up - depends on the situation.

I like to eat but when I dress as Steffie, I give up eating large quantities (as I usually did in male mode). But this is working for me because when I dress, I not only feel good but now am down to ~190 (from 225) and can fit into a size 14 dress size. Without being Steffie, I might still weigh more. This has "bled over" into when I'm male. I do eat a bit more as male compared to female but not nearly much as before Steffie.

I have a cunning plan; I intend to educate all my friends so that I can do everything as Natalie. Sorted!

Good one, Nicole!

Hmmmmm I really like things just as they are! Work, Ice Hockey, NHRA Dragracing, Family, Dressing.....A little more time for dressing would be great but I really wouldnt want to give up anything!! Status Quo!! BTW, the only thing that would make me give up dressing is if my wife found out and demanded that I stop, which would be a likely outcome!! She is more important than anything to me!

Great question Nicole

but the onlt 2 things i would not give up is a track race day on my motorbike the leather feels good, and sex that also feels good in a different way but both just as thrilling.

I've already forfeited a marriage to pursue my feminine side so I think I've paid my dues. I won't feel guilty about riding my KZ, drinking beer and wine, smoking pot, downloading pornography or having sex.

One thing I would like to give up for more CDing time is work but I need something to give me direction for at least eight hours a day. Television would be easy to drop as well. I only get CBC!

Would you give up the safety of not being full time?
