You folks might be better informed than
he is, so I'm asking this here. He thinks I should try hormones, if he writes the letter, for about 6 months to see if I can get my mind straight. I had suggested that on the first visit, and appairantly he had conferred with someone. So what is your thoughts on this idea. Thanks...BJ
ps. I don't need body modification, just mind modification.

HRT is used as a diagnostic tool by some. After 6 months, the changes are reversible, but it is a long enough period of time to find out if it is congruent with your identity or not.
I know some who freaked out after a short while because their libido went down. Their sexuality was tied to their desire to be a woman, and the desire ceased with the loss of libido.

I am on HRT for 8 months now an best decision I ever made . Im 55 an am glad of the lowered testosterone level, carmed me right down. I feal so much more relaxed as a woman than as a man. I have no desire for sex or maybe a slight little. Hormones dont change the hard wiring of ur brain. Nothing will its what you are. But with therapy an some overcoming issue you will gain convidence especially with the visable change to ur looks. Just my opinion.
Bree.
Yes, I second Frances, hormones are reversible in short period of time and do clarify psyche. If you are in fact a woman in male body then chemistry of hormonal balance will bring on much clearer view of your self by diminishing sexually driven desire. You can also expect stronger feeling of femininity within. The whole process isn't glass clear for it involves mood swings and initial body calibration but overall it is very pleasant.

I forgot to mention that the boys and their little friend, doesn't work any more. The little blue pill sometimes half works, to semi attention...BJ
