View Full Version : CROSSDRESSING - Things that cease your desire .

Although we have a serious desire to dress at times , is there anything that quells the desire , stopping you dead in your tracks and taking your attention elsewhere , removing the desire totally ? Be it by concious choice or not ?
perhaps its sports or something else ... ??
Mine has to be the love of mixing music. I adore Psy trance - if I'm ever feeling the ache of needing to dress , but put on some of this strange genre of music , the desires stopped - there and then .
Its odd , as I've sometimes considered whilst setting some tunes down that once I've finished I'd then return to the idea of getting dressed - only to find the lust and urge totally gone . My interest diminished .
Is there anything that stops you girls on here , and just for fun , what is it ???

Intense concentration on something will do it. Going out for a hike or mountain bike ride on technical terrain means that I have to think about what I am doing, or I might end up being hurt. So, I guess self preservation is key. :)

The company of a female whom I'm attracted to. I don't date often but when I do and I really like the girl, I start to feel strange about my crossdressing. If I keep regular company with the woman, the urge to crossdress starts to wane, though it has never completely disappeared.

Agreed as in recent times I can find "pleasure" while enjoying being Gillian, a state that quite scares me in truth?
I cannot work out if it is inner acceptance or, maybe something deeper, or maybe,,, I'm just a horny little devil:D

Fore me having sex is always fantastic but does not stop me being Suzy afterwards. In fact afterwards I just get dressed again and start to dream of the next time.
It used to be just a sexual thing when I was young but has developed into a way of life for me now. Also I am in a wonderful relationship which makes it different somehow.
C.D.ing for me is all aspects of being a women.

The need to be a parent when my daughter's not with her mum. Being daddy totally robs me of feminine urges.
Lately, the need to express femininity through clothing is so diminished that I truly could care less. It is totally by use of hormones and their effect on my psyche. I feel entirely feminine, throughout my core, and must say it is heavenly feeling to finally be able to experience Alexia in entirety as me and nothing less nor more. The looks department is the only drag and I am working on that. So, it isn't bad or negative just I feel more me and at the same time totally feminine with or without girls attire.

haha, well it sounds like it may be little bit of both for you hehe :P
In my case I'd like to think of it as inner acceptance. It used to be where I could have sex or otherwise take care of business and have absolutely no urge to dress or even think about dressing. But now it can be just hours after a release and I can be in the mood to get all femme. :battingeyelashes:

As a runner, if I'm training really hard for a race, the desire to dress often will subside. I believe the endorphin rush (runner's high) that I get is very similar to the rush we get from dressing so I am just substituting one high for another.
ps. Another psy ( and pretty much any other style) trance fan here.

It's not so much crossdressing for me anymore but there are plenty of times where I just don't feel like getting up and fixing myself up (makeup hair certain clothing). Its mostly due to the fact that I have no reason to. Today is a perfect example. Its Sunday and I have been house sitting all weekend. I know that there isn't a chance of going out tonight nor do I need to go anywhere (I did have to go to the store to buy foundation earlier because I was out and couldn't even put makeup on for that for obvious reason but I didn't let it bother me. It was a quick in and out trip.) I love looking like I feel so to speak but some days there isn't a point in wasting makeup and hair/other products to sit around and do nothing. I'd rather save those products/the money for when I do have something to do. But I guess this is normal for most all women.

Only one of the best genres of music ever :P
It's basically a variation of techno/electronic music that features "short melodic synthesizer phrases, a musical form that builds up and down throughout a track" and occassionally a harmonic male/female singer. It also strays away from the repetitive 'thump thump thump' that people who aren't familiar with the genre would just classify as "techno".

When "life" steps in and requires my attention I have to clear that stress point before I can focus on Tina. Tina is a bit of a high-maintenance girl and deserves all of my attention. Frankly, it's just not the same when whatever the stress might be is taking my attention away from being Tina. It's just more satisfying to handle the stress, get rid of it, and then it's Tina time!

That certainly does NOT kill it for me. I still want to be dressed all day, but that helps me to get back to drab so I can get some work done. Although often I end up back dressed again in a couple hours (or less).
Several years back my wife was gone on a trip for 2 weeks. I took off work for a week and remained dressed non-stop for 8 days (except for showers). That immersion seemed to reduce the desire to the point I didn't dress for about 3 weeks, but then the desire was back as strong as ever.

Never have found anything that can make it "cease," just a couple of things that can delay it. Sooner or later I have to let my inner girl out.

Only good for a few minutes delay for me.
Canning pickles.
I love canning! And no, pretty much anything dealing with canning whole pickles is not likely to make me feel like less of a woman! Slicing 'em or making relish might, or might not, depending on my mood.

The novelty does wear off after you do it for a while. I seldom get dolled up to go to the grocery store, mall, bank, etc. maybe some lip gloss. I am as comfortable in a pair of jeans and a cute top as I am in a dress, a skirt or full war paint. And to be perfectly honest, there isn't always time nor do I have the desire to make a fashion statement every time I leave the house.

i love competative physical sports. i have always been a soccer and baseball/softball player. during a game my mind is focused solely on the game at hand. everything else takes a back seat including cding, my wife, my cell phone gets turned off, work etc etc. it all goes away. i guess thats why i enjoy playing soo much, it puts all the crappy parts of life on hold for a while.

I am with Jayme on this one. I had parenting role with daughter every Fri-Monday morning every week for the past 16 years. Whenever I switched to super dadmom mode, the last thing on my mind was CD. Everything related to CD, including computer, was "locked down" and secured prior to her arrival every week. I never gave it another thought until after she was gone every Monday morning.
I did not waste any time jumping back into my clothes the minute I got home though...:heehee:

Threads that discuss “trying to stop” crossdressing take the wind out of me – am I on the wrong site? I usually prance into my bedroom, dress to the nines, and chuckle at the thought of some person or another trying to avoid this obvious pleasure. Let me get this right – you broke through the door into a place you’re increasingly uncomfortable, and now you wish to leave, telling everyone this is somehow “wrong?” I beg to differ, but, over time, it does tend to sap my strength, at least in the form of response. Truth is, I can’t go long without getting the urge to dress and be merry, so there are few things that “stop me in my tracks” except fatigue, illness, or being among non-sympathetic participants in this dream called life. I’d like to say that threads about this very topic do more harm than good, but you seem like a swell dame, so I’ll let it pass…:heehee:
right now it is recovering from belly surgery.
yes i have a skirt on just due to how it fits and does not put pressure on the stiches and allows the tube easy out from the body.

I would love to do chores, run errands and even listen to trance music, dressed. I would dress all the time if I could, and be completely out, but there are some times--like when it's really, really hot--that "dressing" only means girly flip flops, boy shorts and a tee.
And maybe some earrings, with little fans in them.

My masculine energies do come back, and cut off the feminine. Being 6'2", 210lbs, I have a body that builds a masc. edge.
But the feminine does come back...... learning to go with these cycles, which I have been through for decades, can be difficult and exasperating... learning feminine patience, process, and watching the inner signs, takes time.
It's a gift we all could use... and: it's totaly feminine!
Go there, girls!

When I am with my wife. She doesn't approve and it disgusts her. Knowing that is a killer for me
1. Spending time with my brother and sister.
2. The heat(I dress more in the cooler weather).
3. Lazyness(sometimes I wish I could just snap my fingers and be fully dressed).
4. Depression

I had very strong urges for years.
What really killed it was going to a professional transformation service while being very sick (high fever). I went because I was on a business trip and I would have lost the chance.
I felt terrible, was scared and was the first time that I was seen dressed by someone else. The makeup work was terrific, but then I look too much like my sister.
It just felt wrong. Since them, the desire never came back with the same strength.
After a while, I started to lift weights and add a few pounds of muscle. Being happy with my male physique finish the killing of it.
Some times I feel like dressing, but not very strongly.

It seems the tempreture effects many of us .... I agree , in fact wearing a wig in the heat of a summer day is almost like wearing a hat !
The things that cease us are varied , but isn't it a strange undeniable fact , the urge will always return .
Its undeniable .
Having just started new employment ( goodness it took ages to find a job ) my desire was virtually nil . But then this very last Friday I decided to get Shelly out ...... it was weird as at one point I couldnt really be bothered .
However , an hour after popping into a dress all the femanine feelings flooded foward , a tidelike feeling washed over me . I'd been on here remembering this thread , and in a moments reflection decided to see if my love of psy would quell my desires , so I threw an hour long mix together dressed . It was an odd but an enlightning experience . The only hinderence was headphones and a blonde wig seem to go into conflict with each other !
My wife remarked how after watching me that perhaps I should get in touch with a few local clubs ( one nearby is a specific trans gender establishment with t girl nights ) and see if they'd let me play out live dressed. Wow , that'd be a dream . Perhaps I will . I'd certainly have to calm my music and track choice down however ....Imagine the whole place going absolutely crazy ...... all those girls , perhaps a little relaxed after a few drinkies .......then again - oh dear it wouldnt work I think , its the heat thing again . Too much insulation !
Oh well , one can dream :heehee:

So many things turn ON The Urge, but I've never thought about what turns it OFF. It's interesting to read the consistencies between our experiences: dating a GG, heat, concentration or problem solving, parenting, and of course, sexual release. I have to agree that sexual release only liberates me for a short time, and then The Urge comes back even stronger, especially if dressing was associated with the "release".
No one mentioned my particular method of escape: alcohol. For some reason, if I drink I lose the urge to dress. Anyone else?

Wow, another post that approaches CDing as if it is an ailment that must be overcome.
Why do we do this to ourselves Honestly?
I may have miss understood this post, but I think just in general some things over ride others.
I do not dress as often (I mean full out dress) now that I have a job. However, I still wear clothing that I like to wear.
I would not so much say that this eases the desire, but it certainly affects my dressing and that is the possibility of being around people that see what I do as a perversion. If it wasn't for that, I do not think my urge would need to be quelled.
Having something to concentrate on often over rides many things, including TV and sports which people do much more often than most of us dress.
Is this easing necessarily a good thing? What if this so called Easing is actually the result of fear manifesting itself in you life?
Frankly I myself do not want the "urge" to be quelled.

popped it halfway thru a mix for a very dear female friend of mine , and a few crossdressing friends .
A few people over the years have remarked its a monotinous type of music and that they just don't understand my devotion to it . It's only when this genre is heard over a decent system , or even better a huge proper set up then theyve changed theyre minds .....
I hope it pleases a few girls on here .........

Amen Gillian!!! Not sure why except that it was my "FIRST" sexual experience back in my youth - probably also why there's a huge feeling of guilt rather than an "AFTER GLOW". But the guilt and the sexual thing are both starting to subside with age - maybe because they were related? Or because I was Catholic and was going straight to hell for my "impure thoughts and deeds". But I'm over that now.
I notice that my urges to dress are like a "bloodhound on the scent" - after something (?) has stimulated them, they may take a back seat due to circumstance but they are right there waiting for me. Whew.
