So I went to a birthday party that my friend had at this gay club in Los Angeles and all I have to say is that it got really crazy that night! People were being very, uhh, daring and I was actually really happy that I was Lexi since the guys didn't want anything to do with her. And no, I wasn't outed a single time.

What was interesting that night though was how I reacted to the only person that advanced on me, or rather, tried to advance on me. As you girls may not know, I'm bi-gendered and as far as sexual orientations go, I like women. However, I got my friend "Between the Sheets," a drink comprised of Cognac, Triple Sec, Rum, and lime juice, and he had forgotten about my sexual orientation thanks to that volatile concoction.

I approached him later that night to tell him that I had a thing for his best friend, a GG who was also at the party, and wanted to see if he could hook me up with her that night. So he said yea, sure, and as I pulled away, he kissed me on the cheek, grabbed my hand, and kissed it like I was a princess. I raised one of my eyebrows, a la The Rock (aka Dwayne Johnson), rolled my eyes, shook my head, and got back to the group I was hanging out with.

Later, he wanted us to dance, but I was starving and wanted some comfort food so I went and told him that I was going since I had a long day tomorrow. He then held my hands, looked me in the eyes, and asked if I was sure if I wanted to leave - at which point I said that I was going to be busy tomorrow. So his response was he held me close to him, for what seemed like a moment, kissed me on the cheeks, pulled away and told me to drive safe.

Now I would be lying if I didn't say that that gesture kinda made my legs wobble a bit... and it wasn't because of the alcohol. Well, maybe it was... Either way, it was a fun night but I'm not sure if I'll be back there again.

But, since this is a CD forum, it wouldn't be complete if I didn't post photos of my outfit that night. Well, here you go!

And for the record, the guy with the cowboy hat in black on the top 2 picks is the friend in question. Thanks for reading :)

Oh, and damn those man arms X_O

It was a long time now, but I once had a business partner that was bi (lesbian) and she and her friends would talk me into going to gay bars every so often. Those were some of the best times I've had. (I was totally "straight" and no CD interest at that time.)

Hi Lexi - the takeaway lessons are that (1) in your photos you look natural and (most of all) happy and (2) like all smart women you kept control of the situation. Good on you! Hugs - Diane

Help!!!!!

Somebody get the net. Lexi is loose.

Glad you had a great time. And darn it you look great.

Have fun but remember all boys young or old only have one thought when they see a pretty girl.
Now go and break some hearts.

:hugs:

Lexi,

You look so natural! It's no wonder your friend came on to you, and you handled the situation very well. But be careful when you bring someone a "Between the Sheets"!

Well . . . the good news / bad news here is that women sometimes do have to navigate through the uncomfortable advances from friends and coworkers as well as strangers. More or less, you just had a real world female experience.

You looked good and had fun - You handledd the situation well and he probably regrets his behavior. So I hope that your friend's response won't keep you from doing it again.

Looks like a fun night, love your look, good thing it's a gay bar, or you would of had a lot more of those boys to fight off.

Aww Lexi, you have all the fun! Except for uh, those couple of awkward moments , does sound like you handled it well though ;)

Oh, and no surprise you didn't get outed, you look fantastic.

You look so cute, and your arms look fine. Glad you had fun. I wouldn't worry too much about your friend's behavior. People get a little weird when they've been drinking, but hopefully he's sober now. :heehee:

That sounds like a fun time and even the advance can make it just feel that much more fun, whether you are reciprocating or not.
I went to a lesbian bar on Saturday (drab) for a friend's birthday and I felt like a vegetarian in a butchershop.

Thank you so much girls! Yea, I did have fun and met a lot of different people. If anything, the next time I'd probably come back to that place I'm arming myself with a little Flip video camera and interviewing people just for kicks. I'm not sure on what topics yet, but I'll wing it. Of course, I'll have to have my friends there to be with.
