View Full Version : Did you smoke Eve or Va. Slims as a Teen?

I remember when cigarettes targetted at women came out. Viriginia Slims with its long thin look "not like those fat cigaretttes men smoke" the ad said. Eve (don't think that is made anymore) with its pretty feminine floral print near the filter.

I was in my teens in the early 70s when those came out, my previous CD experience was only with my mother's lipstick and furs. I was drawn to those two brands in those few years when I experimented with smoking. So not only was I not supposed to smoke, I wasn't supposed to smoke women's cigarettes! A double no. BTW, I am not a smoker, haven't touched the stuff since college. Just curious if anyone else was attraced to those femme smokes.

Sorry, I never took up the habbit, after trying a few puffs and coughing my guts out......

One thing I do not understand is.... I spent 20 years as a vol firefighter. there were times we went into bldgs without airpacks on, due to empty bottles and we caughed our guts out. The first thing the smokers did after
leaving the smoke filled bldg was to light a butt and smoke it ???????

I've been a "situational" smoker on and off for almost 30 yrs. Situational now days means tremendous stress. Back in my teens of course it was rebellion and to look cool. I've rolled my own (normal cigs!) smoked Lucky Strike (filterless) and am down to Marlboro Lights when I'm poor and Dunhills when I'm feeling flush.

I smoke and my wife makes me buy Virginia Slims or Mistys. I smoke these when I am dressed.

I have a smoking fetish, and I believe the Virginia Slims ad campaign of the 70s and 80s is the key to my crossdressing. The women in the "You've come a long way, baby" ads looked so sexy, carefree, and independent while holding "the cigarette made just for them", and I completely identified with them. I wanted to be all dolled up like those girls. I don't smoke much, but when I'm Dawna, I want my Virginia Slims (120s, preferably).

I've been attracted to attractive women smoking as far back as I can remember, but it wasn't until I was a high school senior that I realized I was also a transvestite, and that my two "desires" were connected. I wanted to dress as completely feminine as possible in glamorous, high-fashion outfits with high heels, with as much makeup as I could lather on (without looking garish), and hold a long, femme cigarette between my long-nailed fingers. For me, it felt like a TRIPLE taboo: dressing up as a woman, smoking a cigarette, and to top it off, a woman's cigarette.

I've always only smoked cigarettes at least 100mm in length, whether dressed as Dawna or not. Besides the fetish issue, it always seemed easier to buy long cigarettes when I was underage. Marlboro reds were the underage brand of choice back then, and I smoked Salem 100s. Shopkeepers NEVER had any idea they were for me.

I could talk about this subject all day long...

Once, I was a attendant in an arcade, I sold quarters, sodas and cigarettes. It was easy then to buy Virginia Slims, otherwise it was Kools. Since then I've abadoned the habit, it really is so foul. In this day and age, I can't understand how anyone would continue the habit of smoking. You know what it can do to you, it's not healthy at all. Please quit, put up with the 5 or 10 pounds of weight gain and then deal with it. For your own good.

I never took up smoking; it didn't seem like a cool or conducive thing to do.

:- ...anyone who thinks hormones may be in their future - quit NOW! Yesterday would be better!

Blood clots are no joke and smokers on a female hormone regimen are at massively higher risk of clotting. But if you continue to smoke (and some will, no matter what), then investigate transdermal (Estraderm) or topical (Estrasorb), which are considerably safer than oral hormones, as they aren't metabolized in the liver.

A word to the wise!

Sounds sort of like me, some interesting answers from you and others. Yes, I would love to smoke that Virginia Slims 120s while en femme, leave lipstick traces on the filter tip but I have been so long away from smoking that I don't think I could ever go back to it, especially since I have a mild blood pressure problem. Plus, my wife would be more upset over the smoking than the CDing. The cding doens't upset her, it doesn't necessary please either, she tolerates it but she can not tolerate smoking.

Anybody smoke Capris? They're like toothpicks. My parents both used to smoke them (even my dad... Then again, he used to wear my mum's nightgowns around the house sometimes). Now my mum smokes Virginia Slims 120s and my dad smokes Marlboro Reds 100s. I usually get Camel Turkish Jade 100s, Marlboro Menthol 100s, or Kools... Sometimes Prime Times if I'm feeling saucy. I only get 100s cos it's more for the same price.

Im not useally a smoker but when im dressed I useally smoke VS 120's or capri 120's. I too have always had the female smokeing fetish, I love to see other Cd's as well as GG's smoke but I prefer them to only smoke the long white brands unless she wants to smoke the More 120's, there sexy as well

Started with Salem 100's then got really hooked on Benson and Hedges Menthol. Now only smoke VS Menthol and on occaison VS 100. Can't be en femme without them. Belong to the VS Club and use packs to get merchandise. Will probably try to quit again soon but they feel so sexy in my manicured hands. :p

I don't mean to preach, but about 6 months ago my wife's knock-out younger sister (35) started having various aches and pains. Some in her ribs, some in stomach area. Prior to that she always felt great.

She had started smoking in her early teens and being very attractive was quite popular. You could say she had what most of you want. She didn't do drugs or drink very much, just had a good time.

After visiting the emergency room multiple times with a diagnosis of pulled muscles, etc. she finally made an appointment with a specialist.

She has cancer of the pancreas! It had already spread to her liver. If you know anything about cancer, you know this one's very bad. She'll probably be lucky to see Christmas. Her only child will probably be 4 years old when his mommy dies. He probably won't even remember her.

Smoking increases your odds of getting this particular cancer at least 4x.

I know most of you will say "that won't happen to me". So did she.

Please quit now. This affects everyone in your life, not just you. It' a horrible way to die.

Katie

I started with cigars as a teen. While in the army I'd smoke what ever came in the c rations, but mostly smoked Cools or a pipe.

Quit cold turkey back in the 80's.

I used to sell the damn things so I could get all I wanted for practically nothing, so of course I smoked. I smoked Virginia Slim Lt. Menthols. I loved the way my lipstick ringed the filter. Stupid, huh? Thank goodness I quit about 14 years ago.
