View Full Version : are you addicted to being hairless?

I ordered an epilator on ebay, and decided to hold off on shaving or nairing myself until it arrived. It's been five days now, and I am getting a little antsy. Now it's the weekend, and it isn't likely to arrive until Monday. I'm not sure I can wait anymore - I'm a bit put off (and mildly depressed) everytime I look at the stubble on my chest. Or my legs. Or my feet. <shudder>

Anyone else have a similar feeling?

I've been shaving year round for the last 5 years.. I'm hooked. I think about stopping, but as soon as the stubble shows, I can;t wait to shave again.

I definitely like being hairless (I hate body hair :yucky:), but I wouldn't say I'm addicted to being hairless.

I can relate to being extremely anxious (and sometimes depressed) when I have to wait for something to come that's related to something very important to me. Best thing to do is to keep yourself occupied with other things so you don't think about the wait :P

Not necessarily addicted but I'm definitely traumatized or emotionally distressed at the thought of having any body hair.

Isn't hairless the only way to go? I think so, but I wouldn't call it an addiction....not yet anyway.

Okay, I admit that addiction is a strong word for it. It certainly does seem to affect me, though. A lot.

YES I AM! bit obsessed to become hairless! Countless of laser hair removal treatments, plucking, nair, waxing, and shaving!

My SO has had to up her grooming habits because of my obsession! hehehe

But I still do have a full goatee, but its now laser groomed so that it grows perfect without any maintenance!

Yes I am addicted to being hairless. I can't stand having hair on my body anymore, since I started shaving. I lov ethe smooth feel. If I can ever afford to get rid of it for good I will certainly do it. My SO wants me to help keep her smooth now too, I love it.

Totally addicted to being hairless!
I look at men now, with their hairy legs and arms and think 'Gross!'
The best things about being hairless?
The feeling of any slight breeze and the sun on your bare skin!
Not to mention how fantastic it looks!

I don't think addiction is the proper word. I however strongly dislike being hairy :Angry3: - I am due to do my chest, and legs. When done well you all know the feeling! :)

Shudder .... is right! Recently I went on vacation and visited my parents for 2 weeks. They don't know about me and so I didn't shave my arms or legs for a week and a half before I went, plus not shaving while I was there, when it was time to come home I was feeling mega depressed about the amount of horrible icky body hair on me. I hate being even slightly hairy! :yucky: Why did I shave in the first place? ... because I didn't want to have to answer questions about why my legs and arms have no hair on them. Trust me my mother would notice!

The only hair that I would want is the top of my head which has been receding for the last 40 years!! I shave everything else; if the dollars were there, everything would be lasered and/or electrolysised.

Call it a addiction if you want but once you start feeling the stuble, it time to shave. Only way I'll stop is when I can't do it myself. It feels so good to be hairless.

I've been shaving completely for about 6 years and can't imagine going back to being hairy.
When the stubble begins I feel like I'm in the movie "The Fly" when those shoots come out of his skin... "Help Me...!"

Never again if I have anything to say about it.

I have shaved my entire body for over 10 years now. Last week I was "plucking" my eyebrows, and got tired of trying to get them "just right". Ten minutes later I was applying this "Moom" wax I heated up and I successfully "waxed" off every little hair above my eyes!

It was my first "waxing" experience and I was not sure it was the right stuff to apply to eyebrows...thinking maybe I might rip off my skin. But I went for it anyway. Now I am experimenting with different sized glasses and cups, using the top and bottom as "stencils" trying to get the right "arche". It is a rush to look in the mirror and realize I actually just removed my eyebrows!!!

Well, guess I answered that question, eh? :heehee::D:heehee:

No guts, no gloria...

Yes Guilty as charged. I wax about every 2 weeks so it gets long enough to remove and I can"t wait till I get it over with. the hairs are now thinner and smaller but still there.I just love the smooth silky feel afterwards.

I bought an epilator several months ago.

My chest hair is gone and I do a follow up once every two weeks.

My legs are totally smooth now. I am still in the getting strays every 2-4 days stage but it is getting noticeably less.

My arms, oh god my arms, (I must say that at least one opera needs to be written about hairless arms) are smooth, silky, very feminine.

Not to mention the unspeakably disgusting facial hair that grows between my eyebrows and from the tips of my brows to my temples. It is all gone and shall not return:D

All out of one little, pink and noisy machine

I, too, become "antsy" when any stubbles appear and do everything I can to get silky smooth again. I usually shave every other day and that does the trick. My wife and I are on the same body hair removal schedule and both LOVE the feeling of our smooth bodies together! It's to the point where she would disown me if I stopped:heehee:

I would have to say no. I look in the mirror and I see the mustache, and I can't picture myself without it actually. You are probably all thinking, I won't be passable unless I shave it off. You know your right and I am ok with that.

That said I have been debating shaving my legs though. Be nice to wear some hose from time to time without getting a run in them because I haven't shaved my legs.

Me too ladies,I just love to be hairless,(except my head hair)the smooth feeling, and when the wind brushes past my stockings,my god,its heaven!!
My boyfriend loves me being smooth too,the warmth of his body on my skin rather on my hairs is so much better. My pubic hairs dont grow anymore,I guess they got sick of me plucking them, but everywhere else needs to be sorted every 2 weeks.I usually do my shaving every week though.Because I guess I am addicted, its a bit like dressing really,in fact its part of dressing isnt it??

If it's not addiction, it's the nearest thing to it! I shave and/or epilate almost everywhere and I detest any sign of hair, except on the top of my head, where it's a losing battle I'm afraid.
My wife doesn't like it (she knows about Ruth) but accepts that it's part of the CDing package.

Hi all -- I certainly agree with the consensus on this thread -- so I hope this is an appropriate place to post a question about how best to accomplish the goal of being silky-smooth -- of late I've been using Nair on my legs, with good effect -- I've used it on my chest, with decent outcome, but I find that both Nair and shaving both tend to leave my chest red, bumpy and rashy for several days -- so what is the secret? How do I get the smooth, creamy bodice that I so dearly want? Thanks! Hugs -- Diane

I hate body hair but occasionally get lazy and don't shave legs or underarms (facial hair is gone). My wife hates my body hair more than I do though. She will mention it and even ask me to shave. About a year after we met a girlfriend of one of my friends asked her why I shave my legs. Her answer "Not sure but I definitely encourage it"

08-29-2010, 02:08 AM
I treat myself with veet, but to be honest I don't know how to do my entire legs, it's tricky I just don't know how to get all of the hair off with veet, you have to be fast, and accurate, the label on the veet bottle tells you the absolute limit of time that stuff should be on you, and I have to cover my entire leg and get the foam off within time...

I don't want to try waxing as that is just painful, are there any other pain free ways to shave the legs?

Not sure if it is an addiction, but I agree with what a lot of what has been said, it is very hard to stop. Certainly, once I start shaving I have to shave it all off. I do love being smooth! Luckily my wife lets me shave everything except my pubic and underarm hair, but sometimes I can't help myself...

I must be the odd ball here. Shaved my chest, arms and underarms the other night. I couldn`t bring myself to shave my legs for the season though. I started and that little voice in your head says, "Hey, what do you think that you are doing here." I am usually hairless by now until about April. I love it, but I am just not feeling it right now. I have even sprouted the "hunting beard". Needless to say I think that I am staying hairy for awhile, just not feeling it.

I don't object to being hairless, but it isn't important enough to me that I think of it more than a couple of times a year. If I am short-sleeved or wearing a short skirt or short dress, then in daylight there is enough hair to be picked up on, but not enough to be repulsive. The major time I think about shaving arms or legs is before going out in a female bathing suit.

Francine

:D what hair??? No..really been shaving for years, especially my legs. My chest hairs are light to nonexistant, so it's easy to shave them, especially if I keep them shaved.

I've been shaving everything from the sideburns down for the past four years and I've gotten to the point now where it's a relaxation technique for me. I try to shave at least once a week if not twice a week. It usually takes an hour (I grow hair everywhere!) and afterwords I just feel refreshed.

My ritual is to fill the bathtub with near-scalding hot water because I am a young man and therefore somewhat stupid. Actually it's because after an hour the water won't be so hot and shaving a pruny body isn't exactly safe... Anyway, I start with the legs and work my way up. After the arms and back are done (I'm fortunate that I don't have a hairy back) I soak for a few minutes then get out and apply lotion or baby powder or whatever I have handy to try and ease the stinging. Then I just kinda... nude it up for the rest of the night. =P

Anyway, I don't know if it's the hour long bath or the cleansing feeling I get, but I love to shave. It's really gotten to be a point of pride to me. You know, real men shave their legs! I couldn't wax. x_x I tried. Too painful! I just stick with shaving.

Among my greatest challenges has been ingrown hairs. First I switched from a male razor to a female razor and then to shaving cream for sensitive skin. Now I have an electric body groomer and I use baby powder with aloe in it. I use the powder daily to cut down on moisture when I sweat because that can cause irritation and infections. My recent considerations for switching into skirts in public is basically because I'm tired of my legs getting so irritated, but now it's cold here so that plan went on hold.

Overall I can say that there is no real reason to shave your legs unless, like me, you're a hopeless perfectionist who doesn't like the way your dark leg hair looks in contrast to skin about as white as the screen I'm currently typing on. For my more sensitive areas, the occurrences of irritating rashes and itching has actually dropped despite my problem with ingrown hairs. It no longer feels like I'm wearing a furry sweater on under my t-shirt and not having hair on the back of my hands kinda makes me feel younger! Yeah, I know, I'm 25 so not much to complain about BUT STILL!

I doubt I'll ever get it permanently removed. First of all, I'm going into social work so won't really have any money for it, but more than that, I just like the shaving ritual. It's very relaxing and I like the results enough. Nothing, not even waxing, has felt as smooth and as close as when I shave. So to answer your question in a very convoluted way, I'll say I'm addicted just like anyone else would be addicted to something he or she finds relaxing.

I just removed the last vestige of hair on my body.... my belly fur. I had promised Elizabeth I would never do that and yesterday she told me to go shave it off. I am going to consult an electrolysis specialist this coming week and will start getting my face unloaded of hair. I can't stand body hair and never have

Does anybody have particularly stubborn hair? I swear mine must be made out of leather or something. It's thick and coarse and scratchy! With this kind of hair there's a window of opportunity you have to stay on top of. You need to give your skin time to heal so you can't shave every day, but you do need to shave every three days or so. After that your skin starts to get irritated as the hair grows back and then you need to wait a week or so so the little bumps and ingrown hairs grow out long enough to be shaved. Otherwise it's like shaving the sticky end of Velcro. I had to do this the other night and I'm paying the price. My thighs look like I stuck my you-know-what in an anthill. x_x

I like doing this maybe once or twice a year. It is a nice feeling.

My preference is for sugaring. It is virtually free maybe a bit less painful than waxing (doesn't adhere to your skin as much). But face it you are still yanking hairs out by their roots.

I love the smoothness of being shaved. Having smooth legs and chest are wonderful. I have tried to grow back several times. Living in a hot climate and not being out causes me to grow back for the summer but I really don't like it. My wife complains when I shave my chest . Oddly, she doesn't complain when I shave my legs :daydreaming:. The other day I had just shaved my legs when later I accidentaly touched her leg after she shaved. She said "nice and smooth isn't it? I am certain she was making a reference to mine. :)

I try to stay relatively hair free from my waist down (legs especially) and have been that way for the better part of the last fifteen years or so.. I let the hair grow back for a while but I am so uncomfortable that it feels more natural to be hairless.. Every summer I try to remove some hair from my arms as this might seem cooler but in reality is probably hotter.. I shave my arm pits and had let the hair grow back there but I'm torn as to which is better to be in that area.. Truth is I feel that any deodorant smells better and lasts longer with no hair there and so I started to shave my 'pits again... And although I might not cross dress hardly at all anymore I do like my legs to feel the way they do.. Hairfree..

What a timely thread. I shaved my chest for the first time last week. Wow, I never want to go back. I have already marked the calendar. Three weeks from that date I hope to have the chest waxed. Chest stubble isn't very pretty to look at. Tomorrow during my pedi I will get the specifics. My wife also didn't bat an eyelash at my shaved legs. Of course they will need to stay smooth or else she WILL grumble about the stubble. Considering it's still shorts season in my area, I'm hopeful I will be able to continue now year-round.

One of the things that started happening to me when i was younger to make me ponder about gender issue is the fact that i dont like body hair i was telling my GF one time that i dont like it she said its not everybody that is blessed with body hair. I never liked body hair and even before i become fashionable about my femme self i never liked my eye-brow i thought it bushy i wanted slim and archy brow right from childhood. I think this our girly issues are some how buried in our genetic make up.

LisaKarenAZ
09-29-2010, 05:10 PM
I can't say addicted, but I definitely hate having any body hair. The only reason I keep any of it is because the wife likes it and wants me to keep it. The only place I am able to keep hairfree is the underarms.
Of course, with Halloween just around the corner, I am going to have to be hairfree with the legs and chest for the costume. A corset and fishnets would look horrible with hairy legs and chest. Hopefully, the wife will grow more appreciative of the hairfree feeling and let it continue.

I shave my arms, legs, and chest twice a week. I notice that shaving seems to cut down on body odor.

I do freely admit to anybody who cares that I do shave all over. Athletes do it all the time.

I used depilatory cream for a time for my legs, but decided that the Venus 5-bladed razor works just fine except for the face, where I use a Fusion razor.

I hate body hair. Been shaving the last few years, feels much cleaner that way.

I can't imagine ever allowing hair to grow again. It is worth If I could afford it I would do something permanent. My wife who isn't thrilled with my CDing, likes my smooth body.

Wow sounds like everyone hates body hair. Me too. Been shaving everything for at least 4 years now, and about 150 hours of electrolysis. Addicted is maybe the wrong word. Preference is more like it. I also prefer to shower everyday but sometimes that doesn't happen. It is one of the things that makes us in the TG community just a little wide of the mainstream. Nice synthetic fashions on a newly shaved body. wonderful
