I am so excited , 7.26.2010 I changed my name now I have had my first electrologist appointment , did not hurt like I expected , it was not bad at all. I have at last stepped out of my own front door and it is not a terrible thing. I have come out to everyone that I know and WOW no rejections , even found support from some ! I have talked with my therapist and I will begin my RLE on 9.18.2010 , I am just so happy , you were all right this thing called transition does indeed take on a life of its own , I can't believe how happy I am just at setting the date :GD:.

Here is the real kicker , the way I dress now at work qualifies as it is the same as the women in the field. I never thought about it before but as my sister and therapist both said I am not fooling anyone with my manner of dress at work. Bottom line is is am on my in a big way and loving it.

I have to thank my wife for all of her encouragement, advise and support , as well I must thank all of you ladies and gentlemen for your words of encouragement , support and advise thank you all.

Wow Victoria! Not much waiting there (which is probably a good thing for the nerves). I am happy for you. Work can be a big stresser, so it is very nice that it sounds like a non-issue already.

Victoria, this is such good news and to have your wife in your corner helping is fabulous. Everday at work it will get so much better to the point you will find it would feel weird going back. Good luck and best of wishes. Hugs to you and your wife, Teri

Thank you all for your support . Work has been a huge stress-er but It is pretty much a non-issue now , that said things will be a bit of a shock for some in the office , I have not been in since December . My therapist has said that due to my work I need not wear a wig (I can't grow my own hair) but I have decided to buy a wig just for work. I intend on a long straight wig that I can wear in a pony tail , I feel incomplete without one and at home back to the normal wig. I just feel so happy , I am legally Viccy and now in my life I am who I was always meant to be .

Vicci, as before the buzz at work will become the drone of nothing new quickly. As far as the wig goes, take a hint from the other women in the office as to style and length. For me the type of work determined the length and style, short and sassy. I tried the longer hair and although I liked it it became a problem quickly. Other than that have fun. Teri

Thanks for the advice Terri , hair length varies greatly as does style , as I said I have not been in the office (MAIN OFFICE) since December , my office is on 18 wheels . Hair style is pretty much what will be quick and easy.
