I have decided that it is time to talk to a surgeon. I have wanted breasts for decades and I have the approval from my GF. I decided against HRT after considering all of the effects the produce. The loss of a working penis was the real show stopper. I wanted to do what I could to protect my relationship with my GF and wanted to still be able to please her sexually. I am not flat chested now, so hopefully I have enough there that the Dr. can work with
So in 12 days I have my appointment. i am starting my list of questions to ask the Doctor. I will be making two other appts with different doctors and then picking the one I feel most comfortable with.
Just had to share my news and will keep you updated as thing progress.

Niki,
It's great that you are talking to a surgeon. While I, too have wanted breasts forever, I have not gotten to this point. I guess I'm too concerned that I might regret a decision that makes a more or less permanent change. It's fantastic that you have this kind of courage. Have you gone 24/7 with forms on? Did you use adhesive? Congratulations!

I have considered implants... did a bunch of reading on the topic (see Body Issues forum for a comprehensive discussion I found). I've left it alone for now for a few reasons. I am afraid of surgery; and I think that a sudden bust increase would not be taken well at work unless I were to go 24/7, especially if I got larger implants. There is a lot of psychological "self-validation" for your body to grow its own breasts. But I think the real deciding factor for me is that I have Depression that seems to be linked to gender issues, and so am very much hoping that HRT will relieve my depression.

Yesterday was my appointment with the cosmetic surgeon. Overall I am very impressed!. He was very thorough in what he said. I had a list of questions written out and he answered almost all of them with out me even asking. I did go fully dressed and everybody was great. For legal reasons there paperwork needs to have my male name on itr, but they all called me Nicki.
He showed me many different forms and he found one that fits my chest size. He said I have broad shoulders and need a form that fits the frame size. I love the silicone better than saline. He said that with the amount of muscle in my chest that He would have to put them over the muscle. There is just too much mass there and the muscles would deform the implant. After looking at many implants he found that a 420cc would look the best on me and the outcome would be a full "C" cup.
The everything is performed at his office. He showed me the OR, recover room, introduced me to everybody. The price is where I expected. So now I just need to decide how to come out to work and if I am going to proceed.
