I wanted to know if other girls had this happen to them.
I slowly without really knowing it became more and more fem. Over time the female side became more forward then my male side. One day my wife told me. No one thinks you are a male anymore every one that meets us now says hello ladies no matter how you are dressed. Did that happen to anyone else?

A little before going full-time, I went to a doctor's appointment. I dressed in boy clothes, as I thought it would be easier. The receptionist asked me if I had a file, to which I replied probably not, as I could not recall ever going to this hospital. I gave her my health insurance card, she entered in the number and told me there was a file, but it could not be me. I asked how that was possible, and she said the number was the same, but the file they had was for a male! I knew then that I had crossed a line.

I feel this happening to me now.Today I'm going for a wig fitting /selection and I am so excited and as I sit here in outer male mode my inner self is pushing to the outer and I feel a sensation of really being feminine.Over the last 6 months I am now waxing fully and wanting to relax more as my femme self comes to the fore.It is scary but I don't want to hide in the closet again(that is tooo scary).I feel like a chameleon!

I am with Pattie. Im 8 months on HRT an had face lased . I am working on electro on my face past few months 6? or so. My electrologist says im looking more an more female in the face. My physcologist saw I am getting more of a figure. I am losing weight, lost 80lbs already(slowly )an want to lose that much more.I had lady SA in walmart call my wife an I Ladies as we left. I had a brief conversation with her first. I have had couple voice sessions but my voice sounds like I have a cold, sorta. Yesturday I whent shopping in Stop an Shop an getting groceries ,realized a discount wasnt right so I returned to customer service an the SA told her supervior about my concern an she called me She. Oh did that feal goooooood! lol. I dress in womens jeans an sneakers, usally a mans tee shirt. I have long hair in a ponty tail. Also 3 earing diamond studs in each ear. Can't have dangles cause I always ride a mototcycle with a helmet. Guess Im coming out more an more without realizing it.
Later this month I want my Physchotherapist to get me ready to come out. Seams natural evolution has to take place.

Well, I'm in a position in life right now where I can explore my fem personality more than ever before. For the last month I've noticed that I act more feminine, often without realizing it. Everything from how I stand to how I have my hands, sometimes how I talk, etc. Also I am getting laser hair removal done on my face and I've been getting my eyebrows thinned and shaped more feminine each time I visit the salon I go to. Shayna's starting to come out more and more lately and I think it's wonderful. I guess I should worry more but I'm at a point with this right now that I don't care what people think as much as I used to. It's been an interesting bunch of weeks as I've noticed that I smile and laugh more than I ever used to it seems. I still enjoy some aspects of my life in male mode, but Shayna's slowly becoming the primary focus of my time it seems. Even going out - something I very very rarely do - even seems exciting now rather than scary. I haven't gotten referred to as "she" or anything similar to that yet, but I'm sure that day's coming up! lol

I understand if it happens using hormones, but how about if you just take living as a female more seriously (full time)...does it happen then? I imagine beard removal would do it and having a good mop on your head (less any pattern baldness) would be a good start?

Unfortunately for me, I had to start living full time female before anyone made that mistake???? Umm, correct observation.... Now I'm confused.
In the beginning, I was addressed in the feminine BUT with a question mark? But now it seems to come naturaly to others, so I guess the hormones/laser/clothing/makeup are doing their job. LOL
Some of us aren't blessed with naturally feminine features and we have to work at it.

Yep! :) My spouse claims that I killed the guy I used to be, that "he" is so far gone that he can't come back. She figures I'm about 85% female about 100% of the time. Unless I make a dedicated effort to look "guy," I get "Ma'm" more often than "Sir."
On the other hand, she just retired after many years as an engineer and a manager and I claim that her job, working with and managing departments that were almost entirely male, has killed "her."
Still we seem to love each other. So much so that today is our 43rd anniversary!

this is the same for me. I am actick more female, cause it feels so natural, people ALWAYS call me Miss. I was out to dinner with a girl, in guy mode and tha manager came over and said "Hi Ladies, is everything ok?" So after dinner I asked her why she said that. She was embarrased, but I said it was a compliment and showed her a pix. She smiled and said it was my hair, eyes, and the way I moved my hands when I spoke. Hmmmm, yes, my hair is fem and long, I do pluck my eyebrows, and my body language is very fem. My soon to be X wife said, she doesnt want to go anywhere with me, cause I walk fem and act fem. Oh, not to mention I wear 2 small hoop earings...
I JUST LOVE IT, PLUS...I am 5'6 and 129 lbs, and where a size 1 jeans all the time, guys pants dont fit me anymore, I am almost there...Hormones soon

No one addresses one another as miss and mr here. People are very rude. Foreign sellers of hats, roses and such on the street does this all the time though. To me. Bella, missus etc. True charmers. It's almost so I buy something from them. I must admit this warms my hearth. The native population does not do this at all. I'm sure it's just tricks. But still, it's nice. I presume they are more from southern Europe, and knows more on how to address ladies. This is in the cold north.

My neighbore has said I am more of a female than her. for me it took hormones to do it. I can best describe it as a paraphrased line from the vagina monologes, trans edition. Took my first estrogen pill and i gave myself permission to be female.

Persephone! Congrats on the 43 years! My wife and I have been married 4 (and aside from me almost ruining it), we've done pretty well. I know that not a lot of CD/TS's are as lucky to have their spouse stick around, but I actually seem to see it quite a bit on here. Or maybe it's just me seeking it out and finding just that! Anyways, congrats!
And to answer the post - for me it's happened slowly. I am still in transition, so in many ways I've done many things that prolong that transition. Instead of introducing myself as Karen, it's K, at least when I'm not fully en-femme (ie shadow covered). Even though I pretty much only wear female clothes, I still on occasion try to hide that I am transitioning. I must not be doing a good job because I still get quite a few looks! ha! But I feel that I am definitely on the path and moving forward, and for me, that's what's key - making progress. But I know that as time goes on and as I get closer and closer to coming out 100%, then I will feel more fully Karen.
