I posted a thread the other day on the best part of your job.

The best response was from Vikki Vixen who felt that any day they did not get stabbed was a great part of the job. Others were pretty much in the same scenario of working from home. Nothing wrong with that but I hoped for something more insightful.

Now one of the things I suggested was that I meet lots of different people.

Well here was a good chance meeting with an apprentice beautician. We got to talking about her job and I found out most of her practice waxing work was done on the local rugby team. Friends of her boyfriend. They also let her practice her massage skills after the game. The only thing they were not into was the makeup aspect. Far too macho for that. LOL.

I inquired about job prospects and the reply was that openings were available in salons and stores but there was also possibilities with cruise liners, but you had to be on contract for the year. This was a very intelligent young woman who wanted to be in business for herself and doing house calls or having her own salon. Dad was keen to invest in her as well.

I then asked what type of clients she was looking for, and led her around to the idea that lots of men not only wanted waxing but may be interested in skin care and make up. She was very good and did not get at all bothered as I talked about the CD community. So I suggested she research this on the internet.

This was indeed thinking outside the square for her which may benefit others in our community when her course is completed at the end of the year.

All this in a twenty minute cab ride. I did leave out a lot of detail as I was hoping that you will read this to the end.
