I am early in my transitioning phase I must say that I know I just don't like being a guy , I know I don't like guy clothes , I don't like acting like a boy for some of my reasons of my transgender situation. But my dad doesn't take that enough for reasons why i want to become a girl. I know there is more reasons it is just tough to find those reasons in me . I know there is other reasons just can't pinpoint it. To add on my situation I got some unisex clothes that I may use for some future possible crossdressing . I have the figure and face are good enough, just my hair is SO curly and frizzy it is hard to look feminine, I have gels for hairs so that it will make my hair less frizzy it is just a pain in the butt. So any possible ways of straightening or should I just grow my hair out more? Another problem where did my mom put my dress?

When I had hair, back in the 80s, it was very long, but a wild mess and curly.. to straighten it, I blowdried and combed it straight and if it was not humid, it would stay this way for a while.. I also ironed it some times.
Yes, grow it.. long curly hair is nice to have, but as someone whom's own hair was literally down to my ass, and very thick, it's a real pain to take care of.
Unfortunately I'm now bald and NEED a wig to look feminine.. unless of course I want to emulate Sinead O'connor

I would recommend talking with a hair stylist. It is hard to be sure of what your hair looks like without seeing it, so it makes it harder to have pertinent comments. Mine seems frizzy, but it is mostly because it is thick. A lot of the things I do with my hair came from going to a stylist and talking care over with her. It turns out that the fours years I grew it out, it wasn't well maintained. So now under her direction, I am doing things to make it healthier. So go to the pro and don't let things get out of control.

I'm also a product of the Glam years, now bald. Even saw Lita Ford with Poison and Britney Fox. My hair was down to my ass, but straight as pins. Until my girlfriend at the time took me in to the hairdresser for a body wave(think that's what it was called).
Queennatalie, I would grow your hair out and save up and visit a hair salon. They should be able to help with how to straighten your hair and keep it healthy. Give your folks a little time to adjust to what your going through. You've probably known for years how you were feeling inside, they might still be trying to process it. Good luck hun.

Natalie, it is good that you can talk about this with your father that is something that most can't do. As far as the hair save up and let it grow out a little bit and go to a hair dresser to get some help, tell your hair dresser what you are trying to do. Go slowly with changing your style of what you wear and no one will notice you can end up looking very good and not surprise any body close to you. Keep us informed on how things go and good luck
