As you may remember, my wife has recently learned of my crossdressing and has totally accepted it because she loves me. I'm more than lucky to be married to her.

Last week, we were planning on shopping online to start building a wardrobe, but she thought it would be fun just to do it in person! We shopped at Talbots, Coldwater Creek, and TJ Maxx. In Talbots, we pretended to shop for my sister who is roughly my size and doesn't have time to shop (oh brother!) but whether the very nice SA knew the truth I don't know or care. She was a great help in our shopping.

At home, we had a big fashion show with me trying on item after item in various combinations. My wife has unbelievable good taste and won't hesitate to tell me if an item looks unflattering. Some pieces did and I'll return those in a day or two. But the majority of items are keepers, including two amazing dresses, a skirt, pair of dressy pants, a loose jacket, several really cute tops, a cable pattern turtleneck sweater, and two cap-sleeve tees.

She was really enthusiastic about several of the outfits I modeled, calling me "cute", "sweet", "darling", and "pretty". I said, "Really? Me?" She said I'd better believe it and to just say "thank you". I am so very blessed to have my wife who supports this vital side of myself. She said she actually enjoys shopping for Mandy. Tonight she reminded me that Mandy needs some pumps and mules to go with her new outfits. I'm pinching myself that this has all happened to me.

My wife has given me another unexpected gift: confidence to go into a store by myself and shop! Honestly, I will be doing this very thing later this week. By having my wife with me the first time, I now possess this confidence. I couldn't care less what the SA's think. I do feel that they will treat me professionally wherever I go.

I wish you all the same experience!

Cool! The best I got so far, is I look good or like an ugly woman and she thinks I look better as a male. On a positive note, she's never said I look like a guy in a dress...so I take it I pass at least some of the time.

What a wonderful woman! You will make sure she knows how much you appreciate her (in all respects - not just for supporting your CDing).

After shopping for outfits, ask your wife to help you in selecting the right makeup, hairstyle/color, and nail polish! Be sure to take lots of pics on your feminine progress. Also give a special hug to your wife and be very thankful for her understanding and support.

That is all so wonderfull for you and her congrats Hun.

Now I don't mean to bring you down right now , but . I have read over the years how when a CD tell her wife that she is CD after (so so ) years and she love or is ok with.... Then it CD this and CD that cuz the CDer is so excited about it all. An then it's all to much for the SO and she begins to diss-like he CD thing and does a 180 degree turn around.

If you get into the pink fog and forget that you've had years to get your mind around it , she has not had that time and it could over load her. Just take it at her pace tell her you love har and give her the gift of your love.

She might still change her mind on this but if you do it right and she dose not resent you for it you might still be able to CD but just not in front of her.

I hate to bring you down but I thought since your new to this site and have not read all the "bad things that could happen" threads that I would give you a heads up.

Good luck and have fun.

Christina,

Thank you so much for your advice. I do not interpret this as trying to bring me down. You are 100% correct. I'm 50 years old and have suppressed this until now. So yes, you are correct that the temptation is for me to eat/sleep/breathe CDing and that would be really bad for any relationship. Thanks again for the reminder and for caring. I'm very dependent on those of you who are lots more experienced and appreciate any and all advice that any are kind enough to impart.

Shopping for 2 can really get expensive. But it's worth it. Just make sure she gets some goodies too!!! BJ
