Hey guys! Felix asked me to post an update for him, so here you go:

Hi everyone I'm on top of the world euphoric and five days post opp:) I've asked Lex to post this for me as I have not been able to access cd off my phone:(
Its done on the 13th of September I had my GRS I was in theatre ten and a half hours and totally lost tuesday lol. Its the hugest thing I've ever donein my life and its so right :) the key go in everyone youreself partners children with your eyes fully open. Talk to as many post op people as possible to all positive and negative experiences and really think about it from every angle before you decide to do it.
It was scary being out of control all those hours, loosing a day, so many invasive proceedures. But the end result a phallus even my genetic male friends are saying wow to and it isn't finished yet:)
Its so perfectly natural :) Thanx for being here all these painstaking years you've been amazing xx

Hi Ze and thanx soooo much for posting this for me as I've finally got my phone to let me in lol:)

Thanx everyone for all the wellk wishes and support you have given me. I will post pictures in the private area when I've had my stitches out so you can see what has been done :)
Ok here goes for this first stage I've had a full hysto and partial removal of the vagina the rest will be removed in stage two. The phallus was constructed from a full thickness skin graft which contained veins arteRies and nerves from my left arm. A full thickness graft was then taken from each bum cheek to replace the loss on my left arm. The clitoral nerve was hooked up into the phallus to give sensation which I do have:)

How have I felt post op? Well its been an emotional roller coaster from elation to I'm loosing the plot lol but its all part of the course after the hysto ten and a half hours surgery and so many invasive procedures.

Well if there's anything anyone wants to ask feel free:) oh it was worth it the result so far is a phallus of about five or six inches which does have sensaton which is ace and looks totally realistic xx

As Martin I am interested in the technical aspects and handiwork of the surgeons of course:straightface: (just checking, harumph)

as Kathryn I am much more interested in estethics and can wait to glimpse:o

Nevertheless I am not sure I'd qualify to see, but maybe :battingeyelashes:

I am so glad you are well, this was a major surgical intervention.

Take good care of yourself

That's awesome :D How many surgeries do they general do with this type of procedure, before it's considered complete? Assuming no complications happen. Like 3-5, 5-7? It's great you have feeling, hopefully it stays once completely finished ^^

I still don't know if I'll get it done, I don't know. It'll take much thought, as well as most pics of procedures I've seen that do the amazing work, are not in the US XD
Plus, that's a s@#$ load of money @_@ Ooh yeah, is this something that has possibilities of being covered by insurance? or do they consider going this far as a personal choice. I've heard it's possible at times to get top surgery covered, but how often for lower?

Anyways, been curious how you been, great to see all is well!

Remember -- be careful when you try that outdoors! Always check the wind first! (That's something I've heard from guys I know).

Hugs Big Boy!

Thanx Hun I love the little boy how cheeky ;) xx Felix

Hi Dante I'm fine thanx and getting there slowly :) The procedure I'm having takes 4 operations at the moment and I can get it on the health service here where as you will probably have to pay I'm not sure about health insurance and how it works but it might be worth you looking into it. As soon as I feel upto it like I said I'll put some pics in the private forum so peeps can see what my phallo looks like at this stage before sculpting and then when its been sculpted I'll put another in :) hopefully the admin will allow it as it is something that isn't really out there as such. I think in many cases they do see it in the states as personal choice or elective surgery and thats why insurance cover is a tricky one. Here they also see it as elective but we can still get it on the NHS :) xx Felix

congratulations, Felix! thanks so much for sharing this, like some of the others i'm sure i have loads of questions for you when you're feeling better and back with us here at cd. as usual, Dante asks some great questions, i can't think to add any more right now, but i'm so happy to hear your operation was a success. i'm sure i'm not the only guy here who has some hope for myself after seeing someone else go through this. thanks man.

:hugs:

Awesome Felix! just dropped in and saw this. I'm happy for you. As for the US thing, good luck getting it on your insurance here. They are anal and stupid and do not want anyone to be who they are here. Too many assholes say stuff like "I don't want my tax dollars going to that!" When they have no idea what it is like to be stuck in the wrong body your whole life. So if you are on any kind of public assistance like Medicaid or Medicare forget it. If you have private insurance you may have a shot of getting it covered, it depends on the insurance most here in the states do NOT cover bottom or top surgery. You can sometimes get the histo covered though.

Sorry for my rant Felix, I'm am glad you are doing well and have gotten your surgery!
