Hi! This is my first time posting here, or anywhere for that matter. Okay, my fem name is Iria Sky, and I work at walmart in the deli. I always wear the same clothes when I'm working: Black shirt, khakhi pants stained with grease, black shoes(waterproof), a blue apron, and a hairnet. I've been working at walmart for 4 years come September 7th, and for all those years, every so often I'll ask a customer " Can I help you?"and the customer will reply " Yes, Maam." I am overweight, have a receding hair line, I don't have a fem voice, and yet every so often someone refers to me as Maam or Miss. Both men and women, young and old have called me this. When it happens, I'm both suprised and flattered at the same time. Has this ever happened to anyone else when dressed as a man or working as a man? Thanks for reading this!

This has happened to me quite a few times, when I was much younger! ;)

Not lately though, I generally have short hair now and a less youthful complexion. :(

The chance would be a fine thing ! I'm over the six Ft mark, and male to the core (Bloody genetics !!!) Being mistaken for a female would be nice sometimes, but for a lot of is, it's just never gonna happen.

If I took my shirt off, I might get mistaken for a gorilla ! ( I NEED wax !!)

I posted on this a month or so ago. I get called Ma'am or miss at least every couple of weeks. Often times twice or more in a week. Of course I have hair halfway down my back, usually wear hairclips, and always have earrings on. So I don't exactly foster a macho look.

Hi Iria. This has happened to me and I always wondered why?I mean the only slight public clue is a pair of stud earrings but of course I loved everytime it happened. When it happens I feel like he or she really saw me and it sort or confirms what I know deep inside.

I can only wish that someone would call me miss or maam or lady even but that ain't never happened and it ain't gonna happen methinks, even if I were dressed. I refer to my avatar photo for proof of that.

I often wondered about it till a CD friend of mine said " Haley you look like your a female". Also She said " It's your figure Hun mostly".

So being Who I am at age 54 I don't mind people talking to me as if I am female. One day I even was trying on clothes at walmart. Skirt and blouse.
The dressing room people called me Ma'am. So I don't complain, I just smile and go on with what I'm doing.

Love to you and I will include a rescent pic and I hope it looks fine to you.

Haley:)
