View Full Version : to what lengths do you go to keep a secret

I just thought I would share a somewhat amusing story from my past. When I was in college, I shared a 2 bedroom apartment with, and this is not an exaggeration, 4 other guys. We were all friends and figured we could save money on rent by packing us 2 to a bedroom and 1 in the lliving room. Needless to say, there was not much privacy. Now as background, none of my friends knew about Kelly, and I didn't want them to. I tried for a while just abstaining from dressing but eventually that wore off, and I HAD to dress again. I eventually came up with a plan. Across from our apartment complex there was a patch of forest. I sometimes hiked back in there to get away from everything. Well, I found a nice little hole in a pretty concealed spot and stashed a really heavy trash bag. For the next couple of weeks I would contribute things towards the trash bag until I had a semi full wardrobe (again, with 2 to a bedroom, I couldn't get too much at one time because I had nowhere I could put it without being found, plus I had to "smuggle" it into the woods.) Finally the day came to actually go out. So I went in the woods and got dressed, putting my male clothes in the trashbag (by the way, have you ever tried putting makeup on in the woods with just a little compact mirror?) I emerged from the woods in a short skirt and heels and walked around on the sidewalks for a while before heading to the mall, about 2 miles away (I didn't have a car at the time) After walking around the mall I went back to my little wooded hideaway where premoistened towellettes were waiting for me to remove my makeup and emerge back out of the woods as a guy. Looking back on the story, it seems very amusing to me the lengths I would go to keep this a secret. Has anyone else ever gone to extreme lengths to dress secretly?

wow , now that's what i call devotion :)

I can't say that I've ever had to go to extremes such as those , just hiding stuff away in the loft is the most hardship I've ever had to suffer.

Y'know, Kelly, nobody can question your dedication to the art! :D

Well if ever there was something to say about hiding things i think i have dealt with them all. Please dont hide things from your SO ever as it can be the one thing that will tear your relationship apart, take it from me I know and we are only now starting to repair the horrible damage these actions bring about. Be open and honest no matter what the reaction is as to hide things only increases the stress behind it all. Hugs vampkittii :)

7th and 8th grade:

I would put on girl clothes and wear guy clothes over them and then head off to ..... you guessed it! The forest preserve where I removed my guy clothes and walk around in the woods with my heart beating so hard I almost couldn't stand it. I was deathly afraid of being caught! Venturing out of the woods never entered my mind.

I went to a boarding HS and had roommates freshman through junior years. For as much as I wanted to bring my girl clothes with to school I was still terribly afraid of being discovered so while I was at school there was no dressing. I went to bed every night though dreaming something would happen to me to change me into a girl.

Senior year I had my own room and kept a box under my bed that was packed tight with my girl clothes, no makeup or even heels though. That was the year I shaved my legs for the first time. I used an electric shaver and the guys on my floor kept knocking my door asking what I was doing. One figured it out. I emerged with hairless legs. They thought I was crazy to do this "just for swimming". That was the first time I used swimming to explain why I shave areas other than my face. :D

College was more like my first three years of HS where I left my girl things at home because I had roommates and that same fear of discovery.

The first time I went out in public dressed was when I was 22 and dating a girl I was visiting at her college. She dressed me up for a Halloween party.

Kelly,
I have always been a fan of the outdoors and it my be because I used to have to go to the woods to dress. Although I never kept a bag of things out like you did I would sneek my things out and dress and then walk around.

Always with the fear that someone would catch me. Sometimes with the hope that someone would, you know. Have done the dress up thing day and night in areas of few people but the possability of being cought was real.

Over the years I am sure I was seen, but not by anyone I knew so "no harm no foul". I still like dressing and going out but now don't go to the woods just my back yard. Something about being outside is exilerating.
Hugs Krystal.

Ya know I never thought about sneaking out into the woods and getting dressed, probably because there just aren't any really secluded wooded areas around my general vacinity. I did once venture out into the back yard of our old house at night once in a nightgown and once I took off my robe it was a wondrous feeling, but I only did that once. These days it's pretty much impossible to sneak out of doors dressed. In the apartment complex I live in the buildings are way to close together and I unfortunately do not have the benefit if holding the high ground. The walkway is just about 10 feet from my patio and there's plenty of balconies that afford an all too easy view of my patio. Now if I did have the high ground I'd probably be able to venture out dressed but alas tis not the case :(

I never though about going to the woods to dress. Of course growing up we lived in the city so I would hide stuff inside my mattress(it has a slit in the bottom of it just big enough to stuff things into it) and sneak it into the bathroom.(I have 3 siblings)

I still panic every time my mum looks in my wardrobe... I just need to check she won't go to the back of it... coz if she does, it's "Hi Mum... I'm a crossdresser," time.

Oddly enough, I didn't tell my wife for 14 years, she had no clue about Katie. She had though I was cheating on her. For all my life no one in the family knew until I told everyone.

Yes I'd make a ok Secret agent ;)

Lol alright, when i was about 12 (i think), my brother, a friend and i built this tree house up the back of my parents house. It was great, a large mango tree.(last i heard, recently cut down, poor thing) The whole time in the back of my mind i was thinking "sanctury!" The tree house ended up being three stories with booby traps to keep out any snooping parent.( was that too extreem? ) Anyway at the top of the tree, camaflaged from my brother and friend was an old green bag filled with clothing, clothing which i stole from line's around the neighbourhood whilst dressed in black trackydacks and other "ninja" style attire. I remember the silence of night yet hearing the beating of my heart in my ears. So nervous was i, that i thought my beating heart would wake the neibours. (i feel bad at the theft looking back, but at the time it was neccessary and a viable option) The tree house soon became boring to the others but i had heeps of fun, even if i had to keep calling upon my male side to make constant repairs.

Wow, thanks for that question, i hadn't thought of that stuff for ages. :)

Well Kelly,
You didn't come out of the closet you came out of the woods j/k. I have never gone to those kinds of lengths before. The closest I have been to that is when I was 8 or 9 we lived on a farm and had a boat shed on the property and I stashed a pair of my mom's nylons, one of her old dresses, and a pair of her old shoes in the boat and used to dress in the dirty boatshed

Wish I had thought of that. I lived in a wooded area that would have been great fun. I had the house to myself alot even with alot of siblings. But while stationed aboard ship or on a base I had to go rent a room for the weekend and then toss the clothes after.

WOW, I would have never thought of anything like you did. You get an A for imagination, as far as I'm concerned.
