I love pantyhose and have, for many years worn them. I have noticed soemthing lately...it seems that
panyhose is NOT the hose for women anymore. When my wife and I were in a store the other day (she
was looking for a bra and stockings) I noticed that there didn't seem to be all of the pantyhose for sale
that there always was a few years ago. My wife hasn't worn them in years. Oh well.

I have been getting into pantyhose again lately. I use to wear stockings only but here for the past few weeks I have been going back to hose. I also have been for the past few days been sans the pantys. They are just as comfy without pantys and support just as well.:battingeyelashes:

Pantyhose is always apart of my outfits. To me there's no other feeling as good as slipping into a nice pair of hose on my freshly shaved legs! They're my CD security blanket!

I've always loved pantyhose or stockings. It just makes me feel so femme. I look at women who don't wear them and I think they are underdressed. I live in the south so it does get hot here and "naked" legs are acceptable for day to day, but I think social functions dictate stockings or pantyhose.

I love all hose, but pantyhose are certainly a daily stable of my feminine wardrobe. I love the fit and feel, plus coupled with stretch panties, they keep me flat so I don't show in skirts, especially helpful since I don't tuck.

Dressing for bed is another story! There is nothing sexier than a pretty garter belt and stockings!

I've never forsaken panyhose, I feel naked without them...
Thanks to the fashion magazine fashonistas, hose have taken a beating lately, but it looks as if they're about to make a big comeback! :)

I wish more women wore them. I love them too. They are the most feminine garment to me.

I too have never given up pantyhose and never will. They're a staple of my crossdressing wardrobe.

It's true; sheer hosiery sales began falling in the mid 90s, and kept falling year after year. That stopped about three years ago though, and sales flatlined. There's even been a slight increase. I've also seen a number of young starlets wearing sheer hose. Ariana Grande comes to mind (http://justjaredjr.buzznet.com/photo-gallery/350854/ariana-grande-aids-awareness-02/).

Quite regardless of what most women wear or want to wear, fact is that pantyhose are for me the quintessential femme legwear. Hold-ups just don't, stockings I don't actually find sexy and are a right pain to put on and hook up, but Pantyhose!....Nice soft toast hose & a decent pair of support panties to keep them in place all day. Love the tight feeling & flat appearance, and I don't 'tuck', either. Who needs a gaff?

Love the feel of pantyhose, but thigh high also work for the long term, makes it easier to do some things that need to be done, also some things that are fun. Pantyhose can be restricting. Over the years, have had to change brands, as the stores no longer carry the style and colors that I enjoy.

Pantyhose, or hose are one of my favorite undergarments to wear. I love them and am not ashamed to say so.

After a long while I had not been in Skirt and hose. I had mostly been in leggings, or spandex jeans. I have worn hose under the jeans only once in the last month.

Before coming across this thread I put on a skirt and hose for the first time in a long while, and it felt so nice. I still think if more guys would let themselves experience the sensation of putting on a skirt with only hose underneath, they would give pants as the predominant clothing choice a pass. But frankly I just think most guys are scared that their genitals will fall off if they wear such.

I so long for that notion to go the way of the Do do.

It is my opinion, a quite educated one mind you, that women and men would find hose much more "bearable" if they would wear them this way. There are almost no modesty issues when worn this way as the gusset blocks any "flashing" if you sit wrong, despite popular opinion. You also are not constantaly having to adjust your undies if the hose you have on fit right. I have heard women whine about wedgies when in tights, well that does not happen if you have good fitting tights or hose, and are bare beneath.

No, it is not "sl&tty" or "skanky", or "unhygenic" or any other of those terms given. Those are just terms silly people apply to an idea they are not comfortable with, and haven't bothered trying.

I agree. I love the way pantyhose feel and look on my legs. I have worn them many times under my jeans at work and I will sleep in them too. I think my legs have a good shape and everything but pantyhose and tights really cover up all the scars very well so I can pretend they're not there.

Katie Anne

Pythos, I agree completely. Pantyhose worn without panties are more comfortable and as long as you wash them regularly, perfectly hygienic. If I wear anything with my pantyhose it is a sport panty or girdle over them. The girdle is fetish wear but a support panty or sport panty can save any need to tuck and be perfectly comfortable for the whole day when purchased in the right size.

Cheers, Katie Anne

Pantyhose or tights are the best part of any outfit in my opinion. Sometimes I'll even wear suntan pantyhose with black thigh highs over them...

Stockings are something I didn't explore until I was able to buy my own, as my mother never bought them herself. But as much as I like the feel and look of them, I think pantyhose win(s?).

It was a stupidly hot summer here in Toronto, so my pantyhose days were kept to a minimum. Now with Fall here, I'm wearing them almost every day again. I did miss them.

Have a lot of circulation problems in my feet/legs. One of my doctors suggested a brand of support hose that he wore. Tried them and they cut off circulation below the knees. He also suggested that I try Sheer Energy panty hose. The other half of this wonderfully well adjusted household happens to wear that exact hose, so now I get hers when she gets a runner. Works for me...well maybe not in August. :-) OK, cut to chase. Spent more time then my budget can stand with another young doctor the past couple of months. On the day he pronounced me cured and sent me on my way, he pulled up his pants leg, showed me what he wore. Suggested that I try a pair of simlar socks. Only $36 a pair. Gulp!! I then told him about my previous doctor's reccomendation and related the success that I had with Sheer Energys. Lord, I thought he was going to freak out. Regained his composure and went through the sales pitch for the $36 socks again and headed for the door. I can picture him scrubbing and scrubbing and scrubbing after I left. He might have touched something that was several magnitudes worse then any staph he had ever seen. I thought it was a hoot. Funny thing is that he is probably 25 years younger then the doc that suggested panty hose. Oh yes, I bought one pair of his fancy socks from the med supply store. They feel fine but $36 will buy a lot of panty hose. Don't tell my doctor but I feel much better in the hose. Wonder why?

I get the waistband to my natural hip line, which is just above the naval.

I love pantyhose as much as anyone. But all summer I was going for long walks in the woods, shaved from head to toe, and wearing only a thong, sandals, and a short sun dress. That feeling of smooth bare legs was unbelieveable, especially on a windy day. Can't wait for warm weather again.

I love pantyhose as do the rest of you. I like the wolford brand Charmo's as well. I just can't understand why women hate them so much. They feel so nice on the legs, they dont seem to restictme,as women don't have anything to be restricted. and they make the legs look so sexy so why do women hate them?

My experience is that if hose are ill fitting, or of a cheap material they are absolute hell to wear. If they are not put on right, and one leg is twisted, then they again are hell to wear. On hot days they can get a bit uncomfortable if there is not a good flow of air. ( I have not experienced the level of discomfort I have heard GGs scream about though) Those people that wear them and complain about wedgies, are not wearing them correctly :).

Then there is the possibility of developing a run in them while getting them on.

Despite those, I love them.

I believe many women who dislike pantyhose are or have worn the wrong size, put them on wrong, purchased poor quality, etc. Something like 70% of women are wearing the wrong bra size. It'd be hardly surprising that that percentage or more are wearing the wrong pantyhose for them.

Pantyhose called, they want your legs back in them!
I do do know what it is about hosiery that makes me want to wear them all the time! I kind of find it funny that GG's are always desperate to be admired by men, but they for go the pantyhose. why oh why?!

Ok, i'll bite. 2 things.....when i picture a lovely looking woman with nice legs and a nice tan, walking down the street in a skirt and high heels, pantyhose aren't going to make her look any prettier. Just MHO. Now, if you take that same woman and put her in the bedroom with sexy lingerie on and some pretty lace-top stockings to go with, then yeah, now were talkin!

Just got a dozen pairs of L'eggs "Just My Size" silky sheer suntan pantyhose in the mail tonight. Won the bid for them at eBay on Sunday. I have been doing thigh-his mostly in the last couple of years as my pantyhose and gartered stocking supply had been running low. I'm wearing the JMS ones right now and I forgot how good a well fitting pair of pantyhose feels. Don't know if I'll wear them to bed tonight, but am looking forward to doing so with my satin sheets this weekend.

After bidding, I had remorse as I saw the seller sold quantities of two and four pairs too, but I'm glad I got a dozen and with shipping, they were only a little over $2 a pair. I love the way my french pedicured toes look in them too.

Besides ordering the dozen pairs of pantyhose I mentioned above, I also ordered two pairs of tights, which came tonight. One in neon green and one in magenta. I've never had tights before but remember really liking the look of Ann and Nancy Wilson in colored tights and boots on one of Heart's album covers (I think it was "Little Queen") If I recall, Ann had on magenta and Nancy had on blue tights. I've always kind of liked seeing bright tights on occasion since, though I prefer sheer hose.

I've only tried on the green pair so far but I think they look cool. Don't know if I have any heels that will go with them though. And I'm afraid to wear the only pair of boots I have with hose anymore as I'm always snagging the hose on one of the zippers.

Well, the tights should be more tolerant to the zippers on the boots you have. You might look to find boots that have inside protection against the zipper snagging your pantyhose, or zipperless boots. My wife has a pair of zipperless 3" heel boots that she's (a) wearing today and (b) absolutely adores. She's wearing tights with them. I think some boots are designed such that the designers expected them not to be worn with sheer hose.

I hope the comeback includes men being able to also openly wear them, under kilts or skirts. Fat chance I know, but one can wish.
