I dressed everyday for almost a year a while back and the one time I really felt like a female was when I had to stand in line with the rest of the Ladies to use the restroom. I mean I have heard it for years that it takes forever for Ladies using the restroom. I mean if you have to go and you are dressed and acting like a lady then you best use the ladies restroom and wait your turn. What really made you feel like a Lady???

I would Say all of it. The clothes, shoes, shopping, and even waiting in line to use the restroom. Also going out and having a ladies night out with good friends

Well for me it is the social aspect, being out there in public and reacting socially as a woman. Which going to the ladies room is part of.

For me it was while standing in line at walmart with my wife, and hearing the guys behind us commenting on our butts :D I felt fantastic! And me and my wife giggling like lil school girls while leaving the store.

When I actually use a napkin while eating instead of my sleeve.

Well in terms of clothing, in winter I do at least nowadays wear one of my ladies wool coats in fairly neutral colours/styles, whenever I go anywhere. It`s very rare for people to comment/laugh. So I suppose that makes me feel like a real lady, at least partly.

For me it was standing in line with about 10 other ladies at a Unique store (Goodwill type store in Jersey) holding a bunch of skirts, tops and jewelry, then having them comment on how nice they looked. I keep the conversation going with 'I've got a skirt for this top, a top for this skirt' and on an on. Plenty of girl talk about clothes and jewelry but nary a word about who I am and why I'm there.

Well, everyone knew I was there for the BARGAINS! But heck, it's a great place to shop.

I had the pleasure of standing in line at the ladies room earlier that day but fortunately the line wasn't that long. Maybe that is something to look forward to in the future.

I just love the whole experience. But I guess I felt more like a women the night my wife told me that the outfit I was wearing look good on me and when she follows my fashion sense.

For me, it is when i am dressed and reach across from left to right or vise versa and my arm touches my breasts, it feels so natural and right. That for me is one of the best feelings of femininity i have found.

I think that for me it is feeling the weight of my earrings and the tightness of my bra straps. Silly sounding I guess, but that makes me feel womanly.

For me it is when I am waling down the streets of Philadelphia in my heels and lace and the feel of my body jiggling as I go.

It's a dead heat between all the stuff hanging on me... and all the lingerie stuff I feel happening under my dress.

I enjoy the feeling of hose and heels, plus the sound of my heels clicking on a hard surface and the faint smell of a little perfume as well. Then to be waited on at a restaurant, with the waiter calling me "m'am" is an added bonus.

Being called ma'am. The first time I almost went into shock. Now it just brings a smile to my face. :)

For me, it is the whole experience of interacting with other people and being treated as a lady.

I'm surprised that no one has said this yet -- but being with men while dressed makes me feel like a lady. Going on a date with a man, and being treated well, being told I'm pretty, feeling submissive to a man, especially when he is taller -- those are things make me feel like a lady. Of course, the feeling of my panties and pantyhose also make me feel like a lady too!

For me it is so many things, putting on the lipstick as the last thing I do when getting ready and looking in the mirror and seeing Allie looking back at me with a great big smile, seeing my lipstick smudge on the side of a glass of wine, looking down at my tanned legs in the summer while driving in a short skirt, being with some of my best friends and being and acting like women for the moment, feeling a cool breeze up my skirt while walking, and the best of all, having great conversations with complete strangers while out and about.

of all the things already said. lipstick, hose, bra strap, etc. it has to be hearing your heals click as you walk down a hallway, with the topper of being called mam.

Hi Amy
First off welcome back.
For me it's looking in the floor length mirror and seeing the finished product.

I personally do not think I, as a male, even if I transitioned, can EVER feel like a woman. Just like a woman can never feel like a man, or a human can feel like a dog. It is impossible as far as I can see.

I just feel different, or better when wearing and look how I wish.

For me it is a couple of things

firstly it is that feeling of sitting on the edge of the bed and pulling up my tights over flat panties - i still get an electric shock whenever I do that - also when I finally have my make up and on I put on that last coat of lipstick.

I have yet to go "out" as it were, so I have to settle for being at home - however another thing that makes me feel like a lady is catching my reflection in the kitchen window when I am fully dressed and doing something like the dishes and see myself staring back in a wig and makeup and rubber gloves - knowing that if anyone saw me, i would just be another woman at home.

I think the most ladylike I have every felt was in a hotel in an elevator that stopped on every floor to let in more men. By the time I reached the first floor there were at least 10 of us on board and I was silently tucked in the corner trying my best not to be read. When the elevator doors opened the male waters parted and they let me off first. I have to admit that was cool.

I find that I don't have to be dressed to feel feminine. I have femme flashes all the time even in the most masculine of environments. Maybe its the way I am sitting or that I notice my handwritten notes look girly. All are simple little reminders of who I am.

My most femme moments are those when I have gone out of the way to do a little something for my loved ones. Leaving them a note, a flower, a made bed or even folding laundry lets me know that Suzanne is alive and that she loves.

Getting into a car. Having to sweep my skirt under my hips, not separate my knees too much, and then the position of my heels on the floor, needing to brush my hair out of my face, check my look in the rearview, and of course positioning the seatbelt across my chest. Then looking at my nails on the steering wheel. All very different from normal mode.

For me it is the process of getting dressed that gives those fanatasic feelings. Starting with a warm scented bath, applying makeup, and getting into a bra and panties. I then like to do my nails and relax with a glass of nice wine while I decide on my outfit. To quote Shania, "Man' I feel like a woman."

The best feeling I have had for a very long time was taking a walk at night while a gentle rain was falling. My umbrella hid any chance I would be read. It was cool and breezy, which allowed the cool gusts of wind to gently catch my dress showing below my raincoat and move it with the breeze. The cool breeze whipping under my dress felt wonderful across my nylons.

Getting a ladder in a new pair of nylons before I get the chance to wear them. Watching what I eat too, like it is so hard to say no to that can of beer at the end of a day and settle back with my glass of water.

For me, there have been lots of little things that have made me feel that way

* Having one of the other girls ask me about my diet whilst we were using the ladies' room
* Being told in a secure area "we don't need to give you a security stamp, you're a lady"
* Talking about hair, nails, shopping etc. whilst the blokes looked on bemused
* Having a GG who hadn't seen me since the start of my transition say "...but you're beautiful!" (even if I don't believe her)
* A newspaper article about me that said "she is shy, polite, self-deprecating and quick to smile."
* A GG at work telling me that I "positively glow"

With my natural longer hair and when I wear a skirt I do all those things described above when I get into a car, except for the positioning of the seat belt and my nails since my natural breasts are not really that big and I don't have nail polish on my fingernails currently. However, it simply is not in my nature to feel like a lady under those circumstances because I feel too uptight when I drive.

By the way, Marina, your avatar really looks cute.

The time I feel like a lady is when I wear a nightgown and drink wine out of a tall goblet while wearing stiletto sandals.

Thank You all for contributing to this thread. It is really interesting to hear of the things that most made you feel like a female when dressed. I too have felt many of these also, The cool breeze up your skirt, the whistles from guys going by, the looks from guys in the stores. Then there is the feel of the clothing itself, I for one love the feel of a Bra and it has always been high on my list of things I really like. I have always just wanted to be a female and felt I was one inside, so I like to fit in with the rest of the GGs and do the things they do and go through what they go through. I know there are some things as males that we can never experience, but I am talking in general. You know to be accepted as a female and seen as one. I have seen a lot of females all my life and there are so many different looking GGs out there that most males can pass as a female. My main deal is that I am a Lesbian, I only want a female partner, males never turned me on and more turned my stomach to think of being with one. Sorry, I did not mean to hurt anyone by that line, but it is true. I only want to be female and be around females. I am treated better by females when dressed as a female that dressed as a a male. I have made many female friends when I was dressed and many are still my friends today.

Just being out and about. Keep my head up high and smile at people and they smile back. That makes me feel so feminime.

The feeling for me is the very start of hooking a gater belt behind my back and feeling all the straps hitting my leg and making sure they are all stright when hooked up to nylon tops.
Then picking out a pair of colorful panties to go over the top of everything.

For me, it's spending and hour or more getting ready, then walking into the room where my Sweetie is waiting. The look in her eyes and the smile on her face says it all!!
