Hello everyone,

It has been a very long time since I have been on the forums, and even longer since i posted, at least thats how it feels. I have been very busy, for several reasons, including...STARTING TRANSITION! YAY! Ok so here's a question for everyone who is MtoF and has been through hormones before.

I plan on starting them sometime within the next few weeks (according to my therapist) and I have a question about one of the potential side effects (a good one) what will happen to that which effects the disgusting thing inbetween my legs. Unfortunately, everytime I put on a skirt, I get "excited" and it doesn't really help my situation. I haven't had any real success with tucking, but with hormones on the horizon, hopefully that wont matter. If any of you have personal experience, good or bad, please let me know. Thanks

-Jenny (since I have been on, I have changed my name to Hannah, but i don't really want to greate a new username with no posts)

Well first the easy one... there should be a section to post a request for a user name change so no need to create a new one.

The second is that after 3-4 months hormones can, depending on dose and body make up, etc, cause flaccidity. The other side effect you might not be too happy about is a lack of libido and interest in sexual pleasure. you should still be able to "get it up" but it takes a little more effort to maintain happiness ;)

Since you refer to it as "the disgusting thing between my legs", you'll be happy to know it will shrink in size, you will lose most all of your libido and it will not be causing you any problems in your skirts. Basically it becomes a rather insignificant appendage. IMHO

Well first of all congratulations and welcome to the world of womanhood.

About that 'disgusting thing between your legs'... I noticed within about 4 weeks of being on Hormones (Progynovo) & Anti-androgens (Androcur) that I wasn't getting any unwanted erections - so there won't be anymore morning woods for you soon enough & hopefully you wont even miss it - I know that dont miss my male libido at all!

After a couple of months of HRT you should notice it is harder to get and maintain an erection, but this still doesn't mean that you won't be able to get off. Stimulation of the prostrate usually works best while also stimulating your penis like you would a clit. You will probably notice by this stage that your ejaculate has changed in appearance a fair bit and there will be a lot less of it. It wont be white, sticky & gluggy in appearance anymore it will appear more like a clear to opaque liquid because of the absence of sperm. By this stage 'tucking' also usually becomes easier because the size of the penis will probably be a lot smaller & your testicles will have shrunk & be starting to diminish. So there isnt anywhere near as much to tuck away.

One thing I have found that works well for gaffs and helps keep everything out of the way are bikini bottoms (the type worn for swimming) because they are made from thicker & stronger fabric & also have a extra padding that also helps to hide things. I don't know how your sizes work in the US, but here in Australia I'm normally a size 14 in jeans, but I wear size 10 Bikini bottoms as gaffs. Even when I wear the tightest fitting jeans or slacks now, there is no signs whatsoever I have any male bits between my legs. :)

I hope this information helps you.
