I don't need to wear high heel shoes anymore, I'm walking tall enough right now.

I got home around mid afternoon today and there was a message on my machine,
“Hi Phyliss, it’s I****. I never realized just how good you are at dealing with people, until I saw you in action the other day. Helping those customers while my nails were drying. I have need of an assistant, would you like to work for me? You’ll have to dress nicely, public image and all that.”
I couldn’t get to my phone fast enough to call her and accept the offer.
I**** owns a lingerie store. Gee I’m gonna have to dress everyday to go to work.

I’m still pinching myself to be sure I’m not dreaming. I’ve jokingly said I’d like to work for her, before, but never really put any stock in the idea that I really would end up with an actual job.

If anybody happens to be in the Seacoast area of N.H. and wants to make a purchase, send me a note and I’ll tell you more. Her store is in the high end fashion, tourist area of town. This isn’t some sleazy porn shop with video booths, it’s a respectable store with good clients. I**** knows all about me and is quite CD, TG, TS, TV, (and all the rest of the alphabet letter combinations) friendly and supportive.

Oh Phyliss, what great news. That's how it happened for me. I applied for an office job and told them all about me. 2 days later I was called for an interview. A week later I got the job. I have been there almost a year and it's just a dream come true. You will love it. It's what being a woman is all about. You"ll get to dress every day, interact with other people and never feel paranoid again. It has changed my whole life and it will yours. I am so happy for you. Please keep us updated.
