Feeling kinda' good!

I was in Home Depot this evening when this nice man that worked there said to me, "Are finding everything all right ma'am?" That was a first and felt really good! He approached from behind and spoke and when I turned around he may have rethought the ma'am part of his question. Nevertheless it felt great to hear that! :)

I have the opposite feeling - one day I went to Walmart wearing a standard man's shirt, a denim skirt, and sandals but with no purse - the skirt had pockets to keep my keys and wallet. I walked by a some woman handing out samples. She addressed me as "ma'am". I felt flustered and embarrassed. I did NOT want to be called "ma'am". So I guess everybody's different!
