Ups and downs

Hi all,

A new poster here, but long time reader.

I have been introducing the idea of me gradually wearing more and more female clothes with my wife's knowledge for a few years, winning the right to shave legs and only wear female underwear. For that I'm grateful to her for her understanding.

I have recently moved on a bit to girly pyjamas and a nightshirt. Some days all is accepted, yet other days she attacks the whole idea, and I am deflated again. I know I should be happy with what I have so far with her, but there seem to be alot of ups and downs, with no predictable reason.

Just wondered on anyone elses experiences with their SO, and thoughts on how to deal with it?

I have to say that after 11 years of marriage, my wife has proven to be very accepting. That doesn't mean that her acceptance has been a 100% endorsement nor a straight line. When the kids were at home, I underdressed and only dressed en femme when they were away. My wife just seems to have gradually grown comfortable with me as I am. the key was starting out honestly and keeping open to communicating.

First.. Welcome. Second. Everyones SO are different but yours is not atypical.. Lots are very similar to her. I wish mine was since the only Up I've gotten was she didn't divorce me and take the kids and all the money... Ok technically that's 3 ups.. But dressing wise its all been downs... Sigh..........

Lots of ups and downs, or as we say, quite a roller coaster ride. Thought we hit bottom at year 30, but the ride started upward again soon after.

Hi and wecome from a U.K. girl, My wife lets me underdress all the time now but thats taken quite a few years to get to this stage, originally i kept telling her that they are only clothes, and whats the diference between this and say any outher kind of kit ????
now i only have 1 pair of underpants, and 1 male vest,( emergency male kit ) all my outer underwear is female even my nightdresses which i wear every night,all my nails are allways polished , you just have to be patiant,and take baby steps one at a time,

even now she sometimes blows hot and cold over what i wear, saying that she gave me 2 bras the outher week and later she gave me 3 new pairs of ladies size 8 jeans,(TOO SMALL FOR HER ) i nearly fainted with surprize, so just be patient, NO she dosnt know the full situation but im working on it

I came out to my wife a week or so ago and found that she was at least tolerant and perhaps accepting. I don't think she "understands" but I'm not sure anyone on the outside can - at least not this quickly. I've been playing with boundaries and have, so far, limited my actions to underwear and shaving my legs. I was surprised last weekend when she offered to paint my toenails and told me only that I should wear socks when the kids were over. One thing that I've found useful is that I've set up a private blog on blogspot where I can post questions and comments that just seem a bit off the wall for general conversation. She is the only authorized reader of the blog, so it's a private conversation between the two of us. Don't know how it would work for others, but it's good for us.

I sort of went through the same pattern, but with time and slow advances it has gotten good. She now fully accepts my need to dress, but does not wish to participate or really see me fully dressed. But, I wear panties only, have a shaved body, painted tow nails and wear nighties to bed. She is comfortable with all of this for the most part and allows me to go out dressed once in a while. It just takes time and not pushing it too fast. Give her time to adjust to each advance and talk it out. Good luck.

First, thanks a lot for the welcome and good wishes. Some really interesting responses. The idea of a 2 person blog sounds great, as does the male emergency kit... I'd have to rescue a pair of boxers from the loft for that!! I'm also posting from the UK. I wonder if UK is a little less able to accept people like us than the US...

Glad to see I'm not the only one where wife blows hot and cold (I probably would too in her position). Im currently in bed next to here with my girl underwear and nightdress with tights, and she's less cold than a few hours ago. Kids for me are of course also a consideration, as I have two running around. I would love to do toenails too, but will work on that...

As I said, great to get all these responses from similar people to myself. Wish I had joined in posting earlier!! Already it feels like a bit of a community, so thanks...
