Ok, here's one. I have made the strongest move towards my transitioning yet besides that I got hormones, and am gaining some confidence. Then, earlier tonight, I noticed my cat acting a little strange around me. It just makes me wonder, with the HRT and all, if she can sense something? Anyone else had stuff like this happen?

I'm sure in transmen, their scent changes and the pet would get a hint something major was going on. Your pet will always love you. No worries there!

I remember CDing in front of my dog and she acted like I was someone new until I spoke to her and she came over to sniff me...then all was fine.

Aside from one dog loving my underwear as a snack food and the other being obsessed with sniffing any tights or stockings I wear, they could care less.

My dog (only a year old now) had a few confused moments when he first saw me, but when I spoke he knew it was me.
My cat has known me for years and is used to the changing looks. She knows my personality and that's all that matters to her.

As long as I keep feeding them dinner they are okay with whatever I'm wearing.

My dog used to stare at me with a puzzled look.

I think one of the reasons my cat is reacting is smell- unless I have to present as a man, I am wearing women's deodarant, and since I just dont like most perfume, a body spray. She is always sniffing, especially my underarms.

Our pets love us no matter what we where or smell like. They are all very affectionate animals and as Stacey stated, as long as we feed them, they could care less.
