Great news Jocelyn, congrats ! You need to post a few photos of that new girly figure ! Like Rachel, I have had a loss of motivation, maybe all the grey snowy days we are having here in the northeast as suggested by Lynne, are turning on some primordial instinct that is causing me to go into a hibernation mode, lowering my metabolism and forcing me to eat to gain that extra layer of fat to see me through the winter. Yeah, that's the ticket !!

Haven't tried this diet yet. Anyone know if it works?

I haven't checked back since this started. I began my weight loss efforts Jan 1. I have lost 10 pounds as of this morning! Aiming to lose 40. I bought that nice dress I want to wear as a motivator!

I have the same problem. I go up, I go down. Never stays at one area.
Several of the guys at work are trying the HCG Diet. It is a supplement that makes your body burn the fat. The three that I know have lost about 10 pounds a week in the last month. I would be happy to drop 20 - 25 over the next three months. I am going to try it so I ordered it the other day.

Rachael, Thanks for the suggestion. I have the outfit, love the look. Isn't that Mrs. Cleaver ? Anyway, I guess I can try the Gin and Tonic diet, I lost a few days on it when I was younger also. !! LOL !

OK, so Maddy asked me to be at least a cheerleader for this group of dieters if not a participant myself. But I got caught up in it and tried to watch what I eat even more. Well let's just say I'm back to being just the cheerleader. Now believe me, you don't want to see me in that cute cheerleader uniform! YIKES!

Come on, sorry for the necro but we gotta keep up the thinspiration! I hit 145 officially the other day and can now see what used to be the "underside" of my tummy just by looking down. I have hit my goal, time to go eat a steak!

I applaud all of you who have reached your weight goals. I have not posted in some time since I actually gained a few pounds. Feeling unhappy with my effort has also had a negative impact on my dressing time as well....... So, I am curious to see how many of you have made progress towards your weight goals and more importantly, the real goal of being happier and healthier !!

I'm 6' 1'' and weigh about 135 lbs. I wear a size "4".
I had weighed between 180 to 190 from high school into much of my adult life until...
Much of my weight loss I attribute to a lot of cycling. I ride my bike everywhere. When I'm not riding I'm walking.
Today I found out the the city of Des Moines has extensive bike trails. I did 20 miles today and am looking forward to finding out exactly how far they go.
I enjoy walking and riding bike because you tend to notice things that you otherwise wouldn't if you were driving a car.I'm almost 50 yrs old. I figure that my activity level now will determine what my quality of life will be like when I get older.

It's taken a while, but I've gotten rid of the 7 pounds of holiday "cheer" that I gained at Thanksgiving and then again just before New Years! 181-188-181-188-181, and then finally down to 179!!! Can 175 be far away???
working hard at it!

I have ranged from 215 to 240 all my adult life, but recently I have changed my eating habits. When I weighed myself today I weighed 199. I think thats the first time I have been under 200 in about 10 years. I dont really notice a difference yet, but I do feel a little better.

Oh, Sue, this virus was not pretty at all. But, one thing that was positive and reminded me of how much control we do have: after not eating for 2 days, two apples made me stuffed.
We all can make our stomachs need less. It takes a lifestyle change, but it is so worth it!

Great thread, can I join? I'm at 169, which is basically as high as I've been in a couple of years. I'm 5 '11 3/4 :-) I'd like to just be in the high 150s, that's as low as I can go. I was at 220 3 years ago and lost 60 pounds by completely overhauling my diet and exercising at least five days a week. A lot of running, cycling and Jillian Micheals DVD's. I'll post my weight every week or so. I need to lose about 10 pounds..

Amy, Good luck in your pursuit of your weight goals. You did it before and will again we're sure. Please keep us updated with your progress. Me, I still am gaining, can't seem to drop any right now. Hopefully with the upcoming Spring weather, I can get motivated again. Good luck !!

When I was 16, now 60+.
Doesn't SOUND like such a big deal for me. As I changed my eating habits when I got SERIOUS about looking better dressed about 5 years ago! Weighed about 168 then.
Stopped drinking beer.
Knocked off fries at lunch.
Eat liter diners.
Quit all excersizes except stretching and crunches!
However, I traditionally PUT ON WEIGHT during winter!
So, losing 10 lbs. since the holidays IS kind of a big deal for ME!:)

Just under 185 this morning ;)
I managed to start off quickly, but thane slowed down considerably since then ... and i'm happy with that, because I don't really feel like I'm "dieting". Eating regular small meals keeps my belly satisfied, the metabolism going, and a slow weight loss.

So to check in I am hovering around 170 still working out every day I just hit a plato. Is anyone still working out?

I always workout, I'm kind of slack on my eating habits right now. I probably need to get back to eating smaller portions.

Just checking in: My new working range is 177-179. My new battle is with working outside, which is great exercise but leads to a few beers and a G&T, which, I find, is a great way to GAIN weight! So, every other drink is now sodium-free club soda!
But, I seem to have rearranged some of my body as my size 8 skinny jeans fit perfectly!!!

I'm still trying to get back to last years weight, about 25 lbs. less than my current weight. Hope to be there by mid summer. Beers, cheese steaks and pizza seem to be a tough habit to kick. Wish me luck !!

Hi ladies. Long time no see! I've been in the woods of NC on a 5 week writing retreat. I did nothing but sit on my duff all day every day, rarely even leaving the house. There was no scale, but there was a refrigerator and I hit it up! I gained back 10 pounds in 5 weeks. Now I'm starting again at 178# as of this morning. Okay, as of this afternoon, because I just had a huge noon breakfast! Mmm yum. At least I rode my bicycle to the restaurant and to my morning meeting. Good luck everybody!

I decided to check the scales today after a light run this morning. 158, which unfortunately will be going up very soon, as I am having a pizza and ice cream craving and my will power is fading .

I havent weighed in almost a week, but my last weight was 170.6, which is the closest I have been to my goal of 165. In fact things are going so well I may re adjust my goal to 160.

I am awful when I am a male at 103 lbs, 5 ft, 27 in waist! I am beautiful when I am a female with those set of figures!
Go figure, I spend way too much time as a female for a married man, all weekdays! My wife is not talking to me now, I am preparing for the worst...Had I not with this petite body, I wouldn't have dressed so often and will still have a happy marriage. So if you are on a heavy side, as long as you are healthy, it may be a good thing...

Jennifer, I am sorry to hear of the possible impending marital problem your size has created for you. I sincerely hope your dressing has given you tremendous pleasure and fulfilled a deep yearning you have had regarding your gender choice. For me, my size has caused just the opposite. At 6'3" I have curtailed my "fem side", as my ability to blend in would be rather difficult and has resulted in decades of wishing I were more like you in stature. I believe many of the "girls", here would be quite envious of your size and wish nature was as kind to them. I hope things work out for you and your wife appreciates who you are and who you want to be !!

Jen, I'm also sorry to hear you're having problems with your marriage. I would not, however, blame the weight loss. I'd look at your personal interests and preferences, the relationship and the role dressing has played in the conflict. Instead of preparing for the worst, whatever that means, start communicating with your wife and taking responsibility for the relationship. Its your job to understand your wife's issues and aspirations as well.

Kim, thanks for your feedback, I had tried communicating to my wife numerous times since I revealed my secrete to her a year ago. The outcome from her was either I stop being Jen or she would move on when she retire from her job, I had forwarded her many articles about transgender people which I think I'm but she didn't pay too much attention. Currently we are not talking at all. I also asked her to come to this site but she refused to. So right now, I am living as Jen even more as I have already 'lost' my dear wife. I find my relief meeting Jen's friends. However, I still love her so much, and I think she does too. I strongly believe that if I stop living as Jen right now, she will come back to me immediately, all problems solved, but really? Can I 'kill' Jen? Just a background information, we are doing well financially, have 2 smart and loving grown up children. If 'Jen' doesn't exist, we are a happy family!

Madilyn, Thanks for your post. I hope my wife can understand me one day before it's too late. I promised her that Jen will never appear infront of her and even told her that when she retires from her job and be with me at home, Jen will just disappear due to my promise that I will never appear in front of her as Jen.
Yes, it's a very nice feeling that I can blend in without any problems, I enjoy and feel so peaceful being a lady...
