I guess this could go in Body Issues, but it isnt just about that for me. I have been on hormones for about a month and a half. Last Thursday or Friday, I started having swelling in my left leg, which I was told could be a sign of blood clots. Now I didnt immediately panic because I have had another problem over the years that caused the exact same problem. The swelling even looks the same. But, after my regular appointment with my therapist yesterday, I quit just trying to think positively, and called my endo. It took me a while to get to her, but when she called back, she told me to immediately go to the ER and get an ultrasound done on my leg (I have had this done before with this swelling, so it wasnt new to me). She also said to stop taking the hormones right away, which I did. I went to the ER, got and got the ultrasound, and fortunately, it was negative, which showed it was the other problem Ive had in the past. But, that doesnt mean Im not depressed more than a little over whether this could still ultimately affect things, since the the real problem with my leg has never been successfully diagnosed. So, Im waiting for my endo to call me today, probably this evening, knowing I cant do anything to speed it up, but going more than a little crazy.

Just hang in there, I know how you feel. Having had a DVT in my leg a few years ago I know how concerned they are about anything like that happening again. The last thing you want to do is throw a clot and end up with a Pulmonary embolism. That's nothing to fool with.

Phew! I'm glad to hear that all is OK, the title really had me worried.
DVT is something to not take lightly and it's been on my mind a fair bit lately because of the surgery I have to have in 5 weeks time to remove my gall bladder which also holds those types of complications. I asked the surgeons if I should stop my hormones but they said it will make little difference because of how long I have been on hormones. But they said they will give me compression stockings & an anti-coagulant to help prevent clotting. So my fingers are crossed that everything will be fine.

I'm glad it was "only" the other problem, but hope that they soon find out what is causing that one.
I don't need a clot in the leg - I'm already enough of one :heehee: for instance I woke up this morning needing the bathroom, took one look at the clock and switched off the alarm as (I thought) it was about to go off. Got ready for work, a little bit of shopping and got the train to go to the office. When I clocked in, my colleagues asked me why I was turning up an hour and a half early for my shift
