Last nght after my shower, I put on my first patch. So the journey of a thousand step, has started with the first step. I've been on a heavy doses of spiro. I went with the patches because my Dr said they would be easier on my liver. I'll be switching on Wednesday and Saturdays. So I have started that first step. I wish every one a great holliday..:hugs:..Billijo

That's wonderful. Lets us know how soon you start noticing changes and your boobs start hurting. Wait until you get on two patches at a time. Oh Yea! Alcohol on a face cloth will get the glue off your butt when you remove the patch. Also don't be surprised to see "grim" around the edges of the patch as the the day approaches to change it.
One more word of advice from experience, make SURE your panties covers the patch else you will find it curled-up and stuck to your jeans or whatever you are wearing. Also don't sleep naked unless you want your patch stuck to the sheets. Don't ask how I know all of this! :)

Question: how well do the patches hold up to immersion in water?
- When I'm showering I'm usually turned away from the water for most of the time, shampooing or conditioning or shaving my beard
- My wife and I have hot baths together the majority of evenings, and I would prefer not to give that up (it is "us" time.)

Take care of yourself and enjoy your newfound chemical makeup!!! I'm happy and excited for you.
Watch out for the corners on car doors from now on..

I have had no problems with the patches and water and it is funny you mention turning away from the shower spray thinking it might unstick your patch(es). As I did that for months then said this is crazy and started letting the water beat my backside and low & behold, NO PROBLEM! BUT when I get out of the shower I only pat my one butt cheek that has the patches on them so as not to pull them off.
We too have a spa tub with jets and that has not been a problem. I would be careful about any "fooling" around in the tub by sliding your butt back & forth! :)
