Told my other sister

My whirlwind tour of discloser is coming to a close. I'm in Colorado and met with my other sibling. (I have two sisters and told the other a thanksgiving) she was great she had some questions but was very loving. I guess my other sister had told her that I had something to say so she assumed I was going to tell her I was gay. lol. Her first question was "do you like men" I told her it's complicated, not as a man but I might be open to that after transition. She wanted to know if I was getting a sex change. I told her if I did it wouldn't be for awhile. She wanted to know if our parents knew! They don't yet. I want to give my sisters time to digest before I tell my parents.

So I commend you on the steps you have taken and it seems like at least your sisters are open-minded enough to accept and continue to love you.

I agree totally with Traci, but I think its worth it and a whole world of burden is lifted from your shoulders once you have come out.

Congratulations Aprilrain, Now that wasn't so bad was it? This stage of transition may well be the hardest and can be the most rewarding stage. I am sure you can feel the weight being lifted from your shoulders. I applaud you for doing what has to be done. When you feel the timing is right tell your parents. Always know that we are here for support when you need us. You go girl!

Aprilrain, good for you and I'm glad you and your sisters are doing well. I know another sister in Cincinnati that told her sister over Thanksgiving and it also went well. So to you both congrats.

Thanks everyone. Yeah I'm so excited, scared but happy that I can be myself with more people now especially my sisters. I just got back from lunch with my sister and she was really curious about what I wear! She always was the fashionista of the family. She said she's going to have to take back what she got me for Christmas. lol
