Recently I posted that I was considering finding a gender specialist and exploring transitioning with my wifes consent and help. Well I have been on vacation all this week from work and the wife and I decided it would be a good time to start living as a female 100% to make sure I was more than just a CD, which she embraced the possibility of having a wife full time instead of a husband. I have been living as Kym all week with no male clothing or accessories other than a razor for my face since monday and I love it. I have not had the desire to do anything as a male all week, we had some concerns about me being around her family due to them being transphobic and old fashioned. We have had dinner several times with her mother and grandmother, I was wearing a t-shirt(baby blue, so cute on me) and feminine jeans, socks and womens tennis shoes, and got literally no reaction to my looks at all. Her best friend came over and noticed the change immediately and sat her 12 year old daughter down with us and asked her how she liked the way I was looking and acting now. The young lady responded with "n s long as she treats my Aunt the way her old self did, its cool, now I have some Wal-Mart cards lets go shopping together." lol My wife was so proud to go to the local Wal-Mart in her hometown and do some girl shopping, I asked her in the car if she was nervous about running into someone she knew to which she responded" If they can't deal with me and you together then who needs them as friends." All in all its been a wonderful week, we also had a serious talk this morning over coffee and we decided together that I could be Kym from this point on unless there were situations where I was required to go back to my male self and that upon the end of my vacation we would find a gender specialist together and talk about starting hormones as soon as we could. Funny thing is, the state I live in does not recognize same sex couples as married unless they were married as a man and a woman and one had a sex change, my friends in civil unions are so jealous lol. Thanks to everyone for the advice you so freely and loving gave to me, there will be many more questions to come I'm sure, and if I can I will be happy to give out advice as I can.:D

What a wonderful way to end the year - and what a wonderful wife you have. I hope you find a really creative way to let her know how special she is.
